Christmas Carole a new take on the Scrooge thing. Worth watching if only for the Morecambe & Wise impersonations! Oh and Suranne Jones too!

Carry-On. I nearly bailed on this at the start but glad I didn't. A few ridiculous moments but in te main I really enkjoyed it!

Bad Tidings with Lee Mack and Chris MaCausland. I thought it was a bit Meh, but the wife laughed a few times at it.

Next up was The Christmas Chonicles. Kids film really and I think we watched it as it reminded of us that we were once parents of little kids. Really enjoyed it too and we're watching part 2 this evening! :D

The Walk-In starring Stephen Graham. I missed this when it was on ITV but binged it on Netflix yesterday. It is based on the true story of Hope not Hate helping an insider prosecute memebrs of Natinal Action, a group of Neo Nazi terrorists. What I found particularly chilling was that the language bein used by the Neo Nazis was just like the language being used by the likes og Jenryck and Farage et al. Well worth a watch IMHO.

We just started series 5. A fine show,I thought. Costner came up greatly in my estimation, put his own money in to get it done too.

Beth just rocks.

I was surprised just how much I enjoyed it. Especially when Christopher Lloyd started kickin' ass!

My eldest son and I bought each other DVDs of old sci-fi we watched when he was young, so we've binged Firefly and Serenity and were just starting on Battlestar Galactica.

Did he? I thought Costner fell out with the producers and walked away from the show before the end.
I do know he put up his own money to fund his Horizon movies.

Dunno why but I struggle to watch the box sets. For me they are just too drawn out and seem to lose their momentum at times?

We watched Wicked Little Letters. I hated it after 5 minutes, but she was keen to continue.

Both really enjoyed it :)

That's true enough, and if I watched stuff as it was released weekly I'd rarely finish anything, but binge watching soon gets you over any slumps in plot lines.

Most of the series I really liked are slow starters and suffer episode dips, but if you can persevere it's worthwhile. Like music, quiet passages emphasise dynamics.

Some series have whole seasons that lose momentum! (Battlestar Galactica springs to mind) and most have their share of 'filler' episodes if they go on long enough.

Can be difficult to keep story arcs going if the producers aren't sure if it'll get renewed each season too.

I'm enjoying yellowstone and have been for some time now but i'm only just into series 2. But i find it difficult to go back and get into it again. Ozark was the best I got into, but I never finished that. Probably says more about my goldfish like attention span than the series though.

There's probably a threads worth in series that were cancelled - and shouldn't have been. Firefly was a prime candidate but the fans stumped up and Serenity got made which tied up all the loose ends.

My :( one was Carnivàle.

Season 2 ended on a real cliffhanger then....nuffink. :angry-cussingblack:
