12deg and no wind, weird.
Aberystwth...did you kick the bar?
We did yes, then walked to top station as it wasn't running. Then watched 100,000 birds making pretty patterns in the sky at sunset. Most impressive
The Murmarations are famous, and we miss them here. We have seen small displays, but the ones in Aber are a bit special.

Seen it twice this month (mostly because the first time we got stuck in traffic, literally outside the theatre, and ended up being 40 mins late 🤦)

See what mean? Rushing off the Wallyworld cost you $26, staying home and having a rest would have been free.

Yesterday, well both weekend days should have been fairly simple. But, you know - tourist stuff, bad weather!!

Saturday I had a later start than planned but had been waiting around for a few hours before due to changes. Got back after dropping off the last transfer with about 20 mins spare of working time on my card!! But hey, didn't have to take it out before I finished, so that was ok :D :D

Yesterday should have been even simpler, less traffic etc, but the fog was still hanging around. Got to Chambery for a break knowing the flight was a bit delayed, so planned to squeeze in a 3 hour break in case they needed me to work this morning. But the flight was proper delayed. 4 hours after I arrived we found out the flight couldn't land and had been diverted to Marseilles    No way did I have the hours left to drive or the working hours to go there    So that was a boring evening sat in a sprinter in the airport parking!

Sent my friend a smiley face when I woke up this morning but by the time he phoned (about 20 mins later!!) I'd fallen asleep again!! My French is not as good as it could be when I'm not awake

Too tired to ski so I've had a day of cleaning and tidying in the apart, coffee with a mate and then found out I'm on nights tonight - starting at 12:45, so have to leave here a bit before 12:15. Soooo - off to bed now to try and sleep some before I have to get up :D :D

Here's hoping I do the same Tues/Weds night as that means I would finish very early on Weds and maybe catch up with the man for some extra time!! Big crossing of fingers for that!!

Nothing and I’m bored stiff.

The Mrs got out of hospital on Friday and has been moping round ever since. She’s in pain and can only eat soft foods. Do you know how hard it is to figure out a meal if it’s got to be soft for her jaw and low sugar for her diabetes?

Soup, porridge and Wheetabix have been her go to although she ate some macaroni cheese for lunch.

Totally different reason, but when I had my tongue pierced, I just couldn't eat most foods (luckily not for long!)! But I found that well cooked pasta in a sauce (without any lumps/additions!) could be put in my mouth and then if I sort of rolled my head around, the food would slide around and I could swallow it!!!

Sounds gross, but it worked - maybe worth a try if you can find a smooth sauce. Just so she has something else to try and eat?

Upset one of the dogs opening a bottle of bubbly, I’m now getting looks of judgement from her😂. Happy New Year all on RTTL.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."
