I bet the SP outsells the council one 10-1, that's if they ever sell any of the council ones as the SP is such a bargain for all the extras it gets.

Still looks cheap, mainly cos it is, but sounds like it goes more than well enough and ohlins, QS and fancy brembos has got to be worth the extra. It's not a looker but I reckon once you're on it you probably won't care. Like the original Hornet really.

It's very good value for money but quite frankly I wouldn't give it a second glance in a bike showroom. It's come to something when 155bhp is completely uninteresting. The only emotion it stirs in me is disinterest.

Stopped in for a look at one on the way home this afternoon.

Firstly - it looks so much better in real life. Even though it's only the cooking model. I was surprised. Doesn't even look or feel cheap. If the press photos and launch videos are putting you off I'd recommend having a look at one before dismissing it. My daughter mentioned the end can - it's massive!

Had a brief sit on it - this seemed to upset the salesman, which I found odd for a main dealer. Liked the position, not too bolt-upright unlike a lot of recent nakeds, nice leg bend too. Didn't feel heavy off the stand.

And lastly - the tail unit has really sharp edges! I grazed my thigh (through jeans!) on my first leg-swing attempt...

Pictures of this are currently going round, not sure if it's real or not, if it is real it's only a concept bike, but if Honda make it and sell it in the UK I'll buy one.

It is just a Hornet in a frock.
