PBTD's and Pembrey - that's it...

Post by Alan PBTD »

As per announcement :

Alas the Chequered Flag is out on our time at Pembrey Circuit and Phil Bevan Trackdays will not be holding any Trackday events for the 2025 season.
We have been hosting Events @ Pembrey for over 23 years - making us one of the longest established Trackday companies in the UK but it’s time to take a break. Over the years we have been entertained by literally hundreds of riders and many of you have been with us since the early days. Together we’ve all been through some amazing and difficult times – especially with COVID but year after year you have continually supported us, travelling hundreds of miles and we Thank You for that.
On behalf of Phil and myself we would like to also thank the ‘’Orange Army’’, Paramedics, our instructors and helpers for assisting us and making Phil Bevan Trackdays the success that it is.
In closing, we’d like to dedicate our time at Pembrey Circuit to the memory of Laura Davies, who sadly lost her life at one of our events in July 2019.

Lots of reasons, but I think we've had the best.

Thanks to all the RTTL ( and Visordown ! ) riders for your support over the years.

WIll give me a bit more time in the garden and a few trips on the Harley... Be strange not having to arrange my whole life around summer TD dates..

Cheers

Sorry to hear this Alan.

I didn't attend a lot of the TD's but have some good memories of the riding and the curry nights in Llanelli.

All the best to you and the family, likewise Phil and his.

Ah man.... that's a blow, for you, Phil and indeed everyone else, all the gang were very passionate about making sure everyone enjoyed themselves.

We've had some awesome times mate, mostly thanks to you.

Drop in for cake and coffee when you're up this way mate.

It is a shame Alan, a fair number of us here have had some cracking times at your events, and on a personal level, Pembrey is one of my favourite ever circuits, especially after this year- proof if ever needed that size isn't everything (although, as we all know, in certain circumstances it sort of is :) )

Anyway, a big thank to you and Phil for all those years, and I hope our paths will cross again in the future

Did several track days there and enjoyed them all. Sorry to hear that you're not doing any more and wish you all the best for whatever the future brings.

Cheers All
Looks like the circuit will be running their own bike TD's in 2025 which I had suspected for a while. In conversations we had been offered a few days but doing the sums it made it financially unworkable so knocked it on the head.
Too late to get in anywhere else now so will look forward to a few Harley / BMW trips @ ABR festival / Normandy with ''Standing With Giant's'' / Yorkshire Dales and plenty of gardening at home.

Been a great run but to be honest - with costings all heading upwards and the Shakey aftermarth to come into effect - well, we've had the best out of it.

Once again, Thanks for your support

Sorry to hear about this Alan and i did wonder if the circuit were going to start running their own events ....looks like i will be now staying locally to play on track assuming the price doesnt sky rocket following on from the Shakey judgement.

Thanks for all you did and making us all welcome over the years we and i'll miss the beer and chats
