I used to really really like the Ghezzi Brian stuff - but that has sort of cured me. The wheels are terrrible , the flow line through bike ar all wring and make it look like it has collapsed in places.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 8:30 pm https://www.iconicauctioneers.com/2002- ... 1-nec-1124
It looks like the airbox is the frame. Is there an air filter, how do you change it?
Is it behind the circular silver panels, they look too small?
https://www.dimarino.co.uk/product/2004 ... supertwin/ Pietro at this place deals in them - the one on his website (that he has had for at least 4 years now) was a suggested price if 15K!

Another 70s two stroke, but this one is not a Kawasaki triple, for a change

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
About 2008 or so the owner of Willow Springs decided to try starting a new race series using R6 powered Karts. They built quite a few, then the engineer guy had a brain fart & stuffed an R1 engine in one. Lawson tested it & allegedly damn near broke the outright lap record. Today I was wandering by the building & the door was open...
Several years ago the mechanic with this outfit got a meth habit & developed a habit of just taking shit apart before he was fired. They're now in the process of putting this thing back together

The outright lap record at Cadwell was held by a 250 Superkart for many years.

Dunno what the lap records are like for Legends cars but having watched them race at Brands Hatch they're not too shabby either. They look like Elliot Ness cars until you get up close and realise they're 5/8 scale. Bike engines and a lot of rubber.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 7:35 am The outright lap record at Cadwell was held by a 250 Superkart for many years.

A Superkart still holds the lap record...

However, note the different track lengths for the car and the momocycles. I think the cars don't have to do the piss pot chicane between Mansfield and the bottom of the Mountain.

I think they have or had Legends rounds as support races at BTCC.

Yup - it was just to expand on your 'Elliot Ness' descriptionCount Steer wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 12:05 pmThey're the body styles.Horse wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 9:53 am Never heard of them. From the link:

They're just soooo cute.
But that doesn't really convey how small they are.

Didn’t they use FJ1200 engines ?Count Steer wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 9:23 amDunno what the lap records are like for Legends cars but having watched them race at Brands Hatch they're not too shabby either. That was one option. They're gradually moving to liquid cooled engines I think.Gregor wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 1:14 pmDidn’t they use FJ1200 engines ?Count Steer wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 9:23 amDunno what the lap records are like for Legends cars but having watched them race at Brands Hatch they're not too shabby either. NORA used to run Superlite races at some of their SM rounds.
They were very cool things - Fireblade engines were most popular I think.
