Himalayas and a Royal Enfield

Post by Mr Moofo »

I am looking into doing a Himalayas tour with my B-I-L next November.
He lives in Oz so we will be meeting in India.

Has anyone done one of these tours as I can imagine there are some absolutely shisters renting out dog bike !!
Any info would be useful

No, but fwiw son #1 is in India ATM. Stumbled across a place called Chennai, which was full of REs. Turns out they are made there. Some way from the Himalays, I suspect, which is where he is now- but trekking not biking.

Sorry, no help whatsoever, I know.

My company's India factory was in Chennai (which was called Madras during the occupation) - and that was where I first came across them. But it is a long way away from the Himalayas

No idea but RE do hire, see here https://www.royalenfield.com/in/en/rent ... r,%20India
I picked Jaipur as an example nearer the hills:) cheaper than hiring one over here...
It does look a good...just need to get used to the mad driving skills and avoid cows!
