Machine tools, lots of them. Lathe, pillar drill, milling machine. Start with a good bench grinder.

I can't see the photos BTW so apologies if it's already fully kitted with the above.

Floor looks like it would be more suited to a living room, to be honest. What's underneath it? If it's block flooring on a solid concrete base then you're probably good to go, although it would be wise to check fully before wheeling a Skylift with 200kg+ motorcycle on it around the place.

But it's one helluva space and we're all really impressed down here, I can tell you...

Start with a nice floor. I love my plain white jobby. Looks good, easy to clean and easy to find stuff you drop.

To hell with painting it, get it flat/smooth first. I don't know why they don't trowel finish UK garages etc. It's not that much extra work & sure beats the "2x4/plowed tater field" look

It's Amtico LVT with a 25yr guarantee... When I said that my garage was used as the site sales office previously, I wasn't kidding! They spared no expense... It's nicer flooring than we have put in the kitchen!

So will be taking some precaution when it comes to storing heavy stuff on it, to make sure that it doesn't mark it... And yes, absolutely solid (and smooth) concrete base underneath...

Whilst it would be immensely cool, it's probably 25yrs since I was actively making things in a tool room and don't really have any direct need to any more... I may invest in a small bench top lathe in time, but the rest would be a bit surplus to requirements these days...

I was, boringly, after more direct ideas for storage, work areas, benches etc. to be honest...

And the entire self contained living area above it too (with mini kitchen and a toilet too, only missing a shower which could easily be added!)...

I've already had threats from my father and various friends of when they'll be moving their stuff in to live above my garage...

The first thing I'd be doing is to flood the place with power points at about 1.2 metres above floor level; i.e. above worktop height and below wall cabinet height. There look to be a fair number of power points near the desks on the far wall, but nothing that I can see on the wall nearest the camera. In terms of space, you have an embarassment of riches In terms of storage, kitchen units would probably work as well as anything.

With plenty of space for wheeled tool chests...

Really don't need a pillar drill... Haven't used one in 25yrs. If I needed one, I have a friend who works in an engineering shop.

Shelves are a biggie... But Just deciding what to do for them... Do I just go to Ikea and get those Kallax cube thingies like @Yorick has done...?

Tbh, with those walls, kallaxs would be genius. I'd suggest mounting them low enough that you can use the top surface for long stuff.

I wish i had room for kallaxs in my shed.

That built in stuff is all a bit too 'tyres warmers and spare wheels so I win the track day' to me. Not the tool boxen, more the general storage I think.

It's easy enough to make and modify your own bespoke shelving, even with only a hand saw and screwdrivers. Power tools make it easier but they aren't essential. That said , if some of the built in stuff turned up at the right time and price I'd have it.

And what weeksy said^. Take a lot on what we have? All you base are belong to us. Far too many clicks to actually see a product.
