Well - I promised...

Some pics of my work-in-progress (aren't they all?) workshop.

Up until about 2 months ago , this workbench was 1m x 2.2m and seemed to fill about a 1/3rd of the workshop, now reduced in depth by 30cm and the bike-lift fits!

The wooden unit next to the workbench isn't actually park of the workshop: it'll become a new bathroom unit with a sink sunk into the top of it.... eventually.

err -yeah, I may have a problem....

Who was planning a basement workshop with lift down from the pavement outside? Did it happen?

Just moved in a week ago so this is my blank canvas, or will be when I can sell the wardrobes that don’t fit in the house.

Start with a nice floor. I love my plain white jobby. Looks good, easy to clean and easy to find stuff you drop.

That's a good idea. It'll have to wait until spring though when it gets warm enough.

Just down the road from me. Builder made two mistakes: You don't build garages/shops here with the doors facing South or West. Metal shop door faces South, other building has the doors facing West:

This place looks big enough:

Maybe try googling "40052 18th St W, Palmdale, CA 93551" & "850 Nygren Rd, San Miguel, CA 93451"

The 2nd one has a 6000sqft *garage*

OK so... Inspiration needed... I have a clean slate, so to speak!

Image

And yes, that really is my new garage... And no this isn't a humble brag... I know I hit the jackpot here, it was previously used as the site sales office, ours was the last house to be built on site and I lucked out... But then it was also a major consideration in buying the property rather than anywhere else...

Image

Yes, my garage really is larger than most of the 3 bed detached houses on the estate! :D

So please help inspire me... 3 motorbikes, many bicycles, a 46" SGS tool chest and an Abba Skylift already owned and to be accounted for... The rest is pretty much a blank slate!
