I got around to doing the Transfargarasan, Romania on a Svartpilen 401 a couple of weeks ago. The Romanian Stelvio and the best driving road in the world according to Top Gear. I think it may be the oldest tarmacked road in Romania as the surface wasn't great, especially compared to all the new tarmacked, mountain roads that they have. It's being patched up UK style. It was still worth the effort - great road!

Fantastic road, and the 452 Himalayan was a really good bike to do it on.

Even though rises up to 1,820m above sea level, temperature didn't drop below 25°c, and not a cloud in the sky.

Dropped in the the Almeria circuit on the way back as Focused Events are having a track day there, but they were still unloading the trucks, so nothing to see there.
Man,I'd never be off that one. 8-)

The one at the back looks like the Him-e, the leccy Himalayan.

It's the annual Two Stroke Extravaganza this coming weekend. They do a ride on Saturday & the show is on Sunday. At my mates place in Camarillo again & he will have his 140+ bike collection open for all to see.
Someone's brother from here went last year, but I forget who it was?

Anywho, probably have lots of pics.... but I'm taking the F350 :)

Is the one nearest the camera the turbo charged Bullet? I know they had one at Bikeshed a few years ago. Not sure how well it ran (if indeed it did) but know the turbo was off of a small Citroën

I think it's a flat tracker built with the 650 twin engine.

It's a flat-tracker, they don't run front brakes. And it's a race bike, not something being developed for production. It's a 650 twin bored out to 800 which races in the States, I believe.

I nipped to the local bike night for an hour earlier, had a good chat with the owner of this 800 Suzuki.
It's the first one I've seen outside of a showroom, the owner's had quite a few bike's over the years & he's impressed with the bike.I can see me demo'ing one soon

Image

The roads are covered in mud from all the tractor boys, there's wet leaves on the road & there's some big puddles after yesterdays deluge so I left just before it got dark.

Not had much bike time this summer for one reason or another so decided to seize the opportunity today while the weather was good.
Great ride getting lost around the Peak District on the 800 both on and off road 👌 Loved it.

Using the bike mucho lately as got lessons in the big city and pool visits 4 times a week. Missus has things most days so I let her have the car.

First day at lessons was in car and coz of stupid road works in a myriad of tiny streets couldn't get near the college.
Plan B, GSXR. Hmm, still couldn't get within about 200 yards.
Plan C, GasGas.
Up over a few kerbs, across a dirt area, then tractor driver let me through.

Hey Presto, only vehicle at college :obscene-birdiedoublered: :obscene-birdiedoublered:

The Gasgas is a hoot in town, but have to wear trainers as gear lever hurts my feet otherwise.

But happy on GasGas to pool in sandals as only mile each way.

I commute every day on the bikes which are now both covered in crap due to rain and muddy farm debris roads so the pics would be of filthy bikes in the same places so boring.

Today i washed the Fazer before taking it in for MOT. Sailed through as normal and got filthy on the way home when it pished down ..... again

This happened to me last month, the forecast was sunshine so I washed the Street Triple & booked it in for it's MOT the following morning, woke up to grey skies & a changed forecast :wtf: Sure enough it poured down on my ride to the bike shop.
Bike passed it's MOT so it wasn't all bad
