Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Went out Sunday afternoon but no pics as it was 29C and I'd taken my leather jacket
Didn't go out till 3.30pm as it rained in the morning and then had things to do. Thankfully though traffic was minimal and did a nice 100 odd miles. Found a new resurfacing technique (to me) first part was the usual loose gravel surface dressing but as I got to Steeple Bumpsted it changed to what was, due to the heat, sticky almost liquid black tar with loose stones in it. This coupled with the usual surface dressing meant I had stones stuck to the tyres and had to stop about half a mile down the road as the bike felt like I was off roading and the stones were pinging all over the shop. Nice sticky tar marks on the downpipes too C*nts.
Nice ride overall though.

Two years since i last rode due to health and nerve damage to my face causing me issues.
Finally plucked up courage and went for a ride , some would say foolhardy but it actually
went better than i thought. So good to be out again.

That looks like it could be on the Strines road.

The weather is set fair for a couple of days,so in an act of desperation the dying embers of 'Summer 24' must be enjoyed.

I nipped out on the 650X for a couple of hours, lovely late summer/early autumn day around here.
Called for a brew at one of my mate's,he's spent a small fortune over the years rebuilding a Z13,he'd been out on it this morning.

Warning. Pic heavy posts.
I and a few others went along to a low key local classic show/autojumble thang. Cool to see lot of old bikes on the road.
A high barred Blade for sale,be fun I bet.

Put the RT wheels on the GS and went out for a wee hoke earlier. Absolutely love that thing, like a big chunky supermoto.

In his home town, Hawick... In Wilton Park.
There's a room dedicated to his honour in the main building there too, with a couple of his old race bikes, leathers, helmets, various trophies and other memorabilia in there too...

I was lucky enough to see Slop slugging it out with Foggy at TT in 91 and 92

It was watching his 92 heroics there on the Norton (albeit as a young kid, on the telly), that cemented my love for motorbikes and bike racing!

Little bay near Portpatrick. A few of us were staying in Stranraer for the weekend, left the East Coast in 14 degrees and fog. Arrived in 28 degree blazing sun.
