Who needs a car...
Who needs a car...
Went shopping today. Used to go a couple of times a week now it's about once every three weeks. Wrote the car off in an accident at the start of this virus crisis so I've been relying on the bike.
The good old 1190 came good as always.
This on the bike:

And I haven't even started on the panniers or the rucksack yet.
£110 worth. My record so far for shopping on a bike.

No photos, but a bunch of flowers can be carried wedged behind a screen

A Pigeon once hit that screen at 90 mph. The pigeon was turned to red mist but it cracked the headlight mask the fat bastard. There's no way I'm luring them in with foliage.

You ought to get stronger bikes. My BeeM RT was hit by a pheasant which flew out from the side and bounced off the screen. Then hit my shoulder. Fuggin hurt, but I'm glad the fairing took the brunt.

I thought you were going to say it slammed into the number plate trying to overtake...Horse wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 7:41 pmYou ought to get stronger bikes. Yup. And a bottle of pop can be carried on the screen-brace behind a Multistrada's screen, until you hit 90mph or so and the airflow fires it up over your head and into the path of your mate following behind you
Re: Who needs a car...
I shoot my own meat. The freezer is full of venison, rabbit and pigeon breasts. Added three more pigeon breasts today and butchered two roe forelegs this afternoon as it happened. The shoulder meat will be minced for bambi burgers and the shanks slow cooked just the same as lamb shanks.
Had rabbit burgers for tea yesterday.
I would like to make some bangers though. Must buy a sausage stuffer when things are back to normal.
