Always thought he was more of a performance artist to be honest, who surrounded himself with good musicians.

Fuck, I remember saying that not only were U2 not the best band to come out of Ireland, they weren't even the best band from Dublin. That didn't go down well.

Lol. Read a good few fruity comments with her defending U2. Dont care how successful they are/were to me they are pish. Undertones were a better band. Poor little Jimmy was well underrated

Saw them at the Hammersmith Palais around the time of the 'War' album. Thought they looked like a stadium band even then. Much prancing about by Bonio waving a big white flag.Bigjawa wrote: Tue Aug 20, 2024 11:17 pmFuck, I remember saying that not only were U2 not the best band to come out of Ireland, they weren't even the best band from Dublin. Starwar: The Acolyte was actually really good and it's a shame it's been cancelled.

The Star Wars films were mediocre, at best, even by sci-fi standards.

The original is almost 50 years old(!) - I think they've aged fairly well considering (and I'm no fanboi), and remembering this was the dawn of special effects. Prior scifi attempts were -really- awful.gremlin wrote: Wed Aug 21, 2024 4:32 pm The Star Wars films were mediocre, at best, even by sci-fi standards.

Global warming is nothing more than an excuse to tax people, and for them to not only be happy about it, but push for more of it....
