Paid $25k for my *classic* Ford back in March, recently turned down an offer of $40k... which would be a 60% profit in 5 months...

I guess 28yo Fords in the UK don't look like this underneath ...

The list price on my SL was £70k.

I bought it 7 years old with 30k on the clock for £27k.

I've had it three years and it's now probably worth nearer £17k

That's crazy depreciation.

But I'll be ok with my £10k loss as I think I've had 10k of joy out of it.

Paid £47k for my Velar about 18 months ago. I'd be lucky to see £30k back now!

It was in for a service the other day and they offer a free valuation if you want to sell or p/x. Out of interest I asked them give a price to buy it outright they say said around £23/24k...
