Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bugattis and other so-called supercars are ridiculous.

Pricey art is just money laundering

Greggs is just an average bakery that doesn't deserve the hype it's some how gained.

If in the late 90's. Coldplay, Radiohead and Eastenders had stopped, there would be a lot less depressed people about today.

Private schools should not be allowed charitable status.

Being injured while in the armed forces, does not (necessarily) make you a hero.

Women's sanitary products should be free of charge.

It's better than that. Often your money shrinks when you launder it (arf!) because people take a cut every step of the way.

The modern art market is like printing money if you're at the top of it. Decide who you're going to make famous, create a false market where you decide how much, say, a shark in formaldehyde, or a messy bed is worth, agree a cut with the artist and away you go. For a typical painting - preferably 'abstract' - £20 worth of materials and a few bob for a frame you can pocket '£000s. Then it just becomes a sort of large denomination physical cryptocurrency token. Move it around a few times between the players, push the price up - saleroom gets a cut, 'living artist' gets a cut, taxman gets a cut but meanwhile, you and your pet artist have another one and lo! the price is set by the sale of the last one. With a bit of luck the National Gallery will want one and the taxpayer can stump up the money.

Worked a treat for the likes of the Saatchis.

There’s a short book Steve Martin wrote around this very subject. Can’t remember the title. Worth a short holiday read.

Only If you're over 40, a parent, have given up and say "that's not going anywhere" after strapping something to a trailer.
