That's a very pretty cat. And the white of its coat is really white.

Can I have a cheesy, clichéd photo of me faux-biting it please? And, when collecting it, I'll be wearing a balaclava and wraparound sunglasses and be sporting a non-gender specific pronoun.

And to be fair, a gold medal in grumpiness is no sillier than some of the 'sports' now included. Breakdancing? Synchronised swimming? Skateboarding?

Next year it'llbe marbles on a drain cover and speed crochet...

Classic sports like waving a ribbon on a stick or getting a horse to dance far more legit of course.

Equally as silly.

As for the football, do they not have enough competitions throughout the world without needing another? Surely it just dilutes the kudos of winning one of the many others...?

Said it before, but IMO Golf, Tennis and Football aren't needed at the Olympics. They all have much bigger international competitions.

True. For most sports, the Olympics is the pinnacle. But for some sports it's a bit of a novelty.

For BMX riding it's winning a Cornetto from the corner shop for highest bunny-hop in the park. Proper kudos in school on Monday 8-)

You can stick your gold medal.

Was just reading on BBC about self service tills. The last line made me chuckle :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Bang goes Team GB's Olympic self-scanning of shopping medals when that's introduced as a sport next time round...

Booths? The company that had their car park service company send me a bill for £100 as I overstayed by 11 minutes on a two hour stay?

Two things, between us my friend and I spent over £400 in the place and said friend has both mental and physical disabilities. Receipts and blue badge parking permit could be proven.

Apparently there was nothing Booths could do about cancelling the parking fee, out of their control they said. I whined the parking vultures down to £20 in the end, saving me £80 and costing them more than £20.

Booths? Fuck them and the horse they rode in on. I doubt I'll ever shop with them again, not that they'll notice.

Our Dutch neighbours are off back to the Netherlands tomorrow, and popped around to drop off a 'gift' (no, not a headbutt).
Proper stoked btw!

I need to get mine organised.
My CT tester is pretty laid back but I dunno how he'll react to my mid 90s bitsa.
Took mine this morning. CT man's eyebrows raised somewhat, and his initial reaction was to ask where the rest of it was (the rear plastics mainly). I can do the gallic shrug automatically now, so that was my reply (I know very well where the plastics are. Hanging up in the shed).

15 minutes with his inspection lamp. Tested movement of controls, horn, front brake (only). Didn't start it up so fitting the less noisy can was a waste of time then. I watched and he gave me a coffee while I waited.

Passed! With no advisories. Apparently the lack of plastics should be a fail but he did a wink and shrug combo and I paid up and left. Nice chap. Three year ticket.

He'd run out of his weekly allocation of shrugs, by 8:30 on a Monday morning.
