Did 167 miles today, was a great way to spend a morning, early afternoon Went through Fingeringhoe, but couldn't see a decent sign for a picture First stop was Heybridge, Then Manningtree after a piccy at Mistley Towers
Before a quick stop at Finchingfield.
Not sure what I hit before I got home, but it bled properly
Fantastic way to spend a Sunday

I rode to the local bike meet earlier with one of my mate's.me on the SV650,him on his GT250.
As it often is,the place was packed & I bumped into some of my old mates, they'd been over to Armoy the other week.
Here's a few of the more unusual bikes.
I can't remember when I last saw a old MV at a 'everyday' event.
It was good to see some riders, male & female in their early twenties there amongst all us old farts

Is that first one an A7 or an A10, I never can tell the difference?
I had a bit of a LOL at the Fred Dibnah, was it previously owned by everyone's favourite steeplejack?

I occasionally look at A65's cos my dad restored one when I was a teenager, but there's no doubt the pre-unit bikes were loads prettier.

After not getting the chance to go for a ride for over a month, what with travels for work and holiday, today was the second sunny Sunday in a row where I’ve been out and about.
Todays was a mix of old and new, 1st stop was at Stoney Cove (a flooded quarry very popular with divers) near Leicester for a coffee and breakfast, then using the Beeline in compass mode headed via whatever roads looked interesting the 10 miles or so to the Triumph Factory to get some photos of one of their old bikes for an idea I’ve had for some mods for mine. The 10 mile trip turned into about 30 using this method.
Finally using the same compass guidance, the last leg home took me about 50miles and another hour.
In all a grand morning out.

Was in the office today, so dropped into Vines in the way home.
This was in the car park: Rather tasty.

Saw 2 LCs when I was last out, white/blue and a Mars bar being ridden together. Saw them later on in the ride again outside a cafe in Hadleigh. Looked greatRockburner wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2024 8:29 pm Was in the office today, so dropped into Vines in the way home.

I have wangled a weekend away so I have ridden down to mid Wales where I have booked a couple of nights in a pub in the middle of nowhere. About 250 miles, far too many on motorways but some more interesting roads at the end of the trip.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
A biking mate of mine who lives in Stafford and I decided to meet up for a bimble. We chose Ashbourne, as it's roughly equidistant from Stafford and Sheffield, and a fine time was had spreading two-stroke fumes around Derbyshire. And we finished up with fish and chaps at Matlock (as you do) before heading our separate ways home.
And what you can't see is the genuine Kevin Schwantz autograph on the tank of Ash's RGV. Nice one.

I got lost in mid Wales. At various times in my 200 miles I was in Abergavenny, Brecon, Builth Wells, Aberystwyth and Newquay.
