Short Gloves Recommendations ?

I want some decent short gloves so that I can get a draft up my sleeves on the hot days.

I have a pair of Alpinestars that are neoprene with armoured knuckles and leather on the palm. Very comfy, haven't crashed in them yet though.

Not sure what model they are, they're a few years old now.

I'd imagine that they're all pretty much of a muchness and it's going to be more about what fits you best, so I tend to buy in shops. I often tend to look for short gloves in France because there's much more choice than here in the UK. Pretty sure I've still got a pair of Furygans (bought in France) as well somewhere which are also very comfy.

I also tend to look for something that's got a wrist-strap with velcro, more peace of mind than anything else - but I get the impression anything that "just" uses a bit of elastic to cinch around the wrist won't stay on very long during a slide.

I just got a pair from maximo Moto, now selling on Amazon. £16.99. Super lightweight and with knuckle protection. They seem tough enough but I can't tell what they'd be like in a spill.

LOL still not ordered any yet! So soldering on in my Furygan James shorties for now. Current front runners which I just need to get round to trying are.

Oxford Cypher - Interestingly these are a level 2 glove. I'd read that shorties can't be level 2 as they need to be gauntlet style, but these look pretty short to me.

Go on Sportsbikeshop and filter for all gloves and then cuff length short and there are 1500 of the buggers to look through!!

This. I've worn shorties for years cos normal gloves always come up too big on my fingers. But when I crashed the 10 at Portimao, I either hadn't done the velcro up well enough or it was shit - one glove came of in the tumble (only a few grazes on the knuckles, looked like I'd punched with someone Don't think the glove itself would have stopped the smashing of the little finger!! - although the force of hitting the ground that hard is probably what pulled the glove off, maybe).

I still wear very similar shorties, but I do always make sure I've done up the velcro properly now!! Pretty sure they both stayed put on the M32 tumble (vaguely remember having to get someone to take them both off for me!! LOL)

But there's much less to resist being pulled at in a crash, so worth getting some with a decent velcro do up thingie

these ones, tend to be on sale at SBS, but they seem to last well. Not sure what would happen in a big one but then I'm not sure any posh gloves would do alot tbh.

I do have a nice pair of Knox which are really nice and a older but slightly tight pair of Dianese. I didn't pay for either of these ones myself though. IIRC both were around the £100 mark.

Turned up today and I'm pleased with them. I got 2xl and they are nice and snug, so id say they are sized quite small?
