Are those drops easier on a full sus bike rather than a hardtail? With enough boing front and back I reckon you could stay sat down.
(On a motorbike iirc you stay stood up, lock the knees and let the suspension do the work).
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."
The track cycles were >50% stiffer than a normal TT frame. The experts from Cervélo told us they'd never in a million years make one like that for the public. Similarly the top tubes were pretty strange dimensions, no normal rider would like it.
I had to take my (collared button up) shirt off to actually reach the bars, leaning over that far felt like I was gonna rip it
I’m delighted for Tom Pidcock but disappointed the media gave limited coverage to Anna Henderson’s silver medal on day 1. Why did GB’s diving bronze medal get far more coverage than Henderson’s silver on the same day?

Until yesterday, I'd never heard of him. And I bet the majority of folk haven't either.

Have you heard of
Gerraint Thomas?
Tadej Pogacar?
Wout van Aert?
Mark Cavendish?

I've heard of Mark Cavendish, he rides a push iron, I think.
I've heard the name Gerraint Thomas too, I think he plays rugby. No idea about the others.

Tadej is Messi, Wout is maradona, Thomas is I guess a Stuart Pearce lol.
In the cycling world, they're the giants of the sport in recent times
That’s a great analogy.
For the uninitiated:
GeraintThomas is a double Olympic gold medalist, and he became the first Welshman and only the third British person to win the Tour de France.
Tom Pidcock is a double Olympic gold medalist and Tour de France stage winner. He should be in contention for another Olympic medal in the road race.
Completely apropos of nothing, if anyone has watched 'Tour de France - Au Coeur du Peloton' on Netflix, the music from the film (30 tracks by Si Begg) is on Youtube, here:
