:wtf: That looks like a challenge to get down slowly! It was hard to spot some route changes too - will there be more tape etc?

Lots of bright sunshine/dark shade changes. Yellow tint Oakleys?

I like the bridge in the middle. :D

Yeah tape will be plentiful.

He's got blue tint and clear.

Bit of a stop start that bridge. I also bet it's a lot steeper in reality

Well that's the job done and the boy isn't broken for Champery. He did a day at FoD this weekend with me and Crust and came back happy and fast :)

The bike has a few little jobs for this week before it heads off, but in truth nothing major.

Last night was the bottom pivot bearings swapping they'd been on their way out and had a bit of play, so they were replaced when i got back from FoD.
I still noticed a bit of play in there yesterday after that, but that seems to be rear wheel bearings on the Bontrager hub. So that'll get done.

All 4 wheels will be checked for spoke tension and a quick check on things like brake pads etc. It should then be golden and ready to go for his testing at Champery. How it'll be by the time i get there on the Thurs afternoon is anyones guess :D

He'll be rocking his new TLD D4, but don't get too excited, it's exactly the same as his current one

Image

It's what he likes and knows and it matches his kit... but it's a brand new one :D

We'll be sticking some new rubber on there before race, probably for seeding i think, but that's a job for when we're there.

2 years or so of racing, we either need to retire or get more wardrobe space

Lol yes mate, he's actually racing in the European championships. He finished 13th 10 days ago in the GB national championships.

Tbh, he's ridden worse tracks.

Stripping and sorting the Session today, it all started well, but then 2 upper pivot bearings were running very slow, so they were replaced.
Next he complained he'd dropped the chain, I checked the idler wheel, oh jeezy that's very dead, the teeth are barely present lol. The joy of having an idler you can't see well.

The Argotal he had on the back is completely dead, the knobbles are all falling off, so that's been replaced.

Forks, triples, headset etc all checked, cleaned, greased as well as all pivots and bearings.

He's hammered this thing for sure.

So it's ready to roll again and some bits ordered up.

Shock is booked in with TFTUNED next Tues so need to get that shipped out.

This gives a good idea of what they were up to after racing.

Sacha is a junior WC racer and they're now good mates, along with her brother. The other 2 are lads we've known from the paddock for a few years now

Yesterday he was out coaching for 4 hours with Katy. They were messing about on GBU at the end of each fast run on a race track and one of them he was pulling whips and lost a pedal/foot....
