Olympics, who's watching ?

Post by weeksy »

So it's nearly the big Olympic games... Paris/France.

Katy our coach has gone over to work with the MTB squad... So i'll likely be watching that racing.. but i doubt i'll watch anything else.

How about you lot ?

I'm a boring bastard, the only sport I watch is bike racing. Mrs.Skub has a casual interest,so I may see some stuff by proxy.

I have a loose interest in watching track and field events, and obviosuly anything else that us Brits unexpectedly turn out to be good at.

Will dip in and out depending what's on. Hope to catch some bike events + rowing/sailing. Quite like to see some of the events that don't see much air-time usually - if the BBC put them on.

(Prefer the Winter Olympics tbh).

I'll watch the shooting, archery and sport climbing, if they're broadcast or streamed somewhere, might sneak a peek at the beach volleyball, but that's about it

Only found out about Trump being shot at and the to-do in Leeds because a mate whatsapp'd me with a quip about them!

Just got a message from a mate, she said -

Hasn't even started and I'm over it !!

Yup - she lives in Paris!

I'll probably try and watch some of it. Just for interested. Not really sure what I'll go for tho. I do quite admire the gymnastics, so maybe that

Weirdly, I prefer the winter olympics! :angelic-green: :angelic-green:

Is synchronised skate boarding in the list of sports yet?

Nope, less than zero interest. I even change the channel when the news start reporting who won what etc. This time won't be any different. Will also be doing my utmost to ignore it when it all gets fucked up in LA in '28, the perps targeting the spectators here will be off the scale.

Yep...I'll be watching lots. I find normal non sport TV pretty shite and always drift off to youtube vids.

I really enjoy the olympics and will watch whatever sport is being shown when I’m sitting down in the living room. The gf is the same, so it will be on whenever we usually watch tv.
