Been watching Scandinavian noir The Bridge.

It’s quite engaging. I suppose it wouldn’t be “noir” without a complicated, unlikely plot.

Just watched 'The Queen's Gambit on Netflix.
It's a 7 part series that is WELL worth a watch.
Who'd have thought that a series about a chess player could be so enthralling? Pukka acting and story.
10/10

Well last night I watched the last episode of Queens Gambit and it was good right through to the end.
Been nice watching something that didn't need shooting to have drama.

Watched the first 2 episodes of Queens Gambit with SWMBO before heading down South last week.
Called her the next day and she said she felt tired...something to do with staying up til 3am watching the remaining 5 episodes!

Can't blame her too much though as they were really nicely done.
Felt like the production team was the same as 'The Crown'...which starts the new series tomorrow...

Just getting into The Fall and it seems worth watching. Funnily enough I was recommended The Queens Gambit the other day, so we'll go for that next...

I loved The Bridge. Mrs D has a bunch of Danish family and I know a little bit of the lingo, so i started watching partly to see if I could follow any of what they were saying :D I understood enough that sometimes I could tell the subtitles were wrong. My main enjoyment was just the story though.

If you like that, i would say The Killing* is worth a watch. Its even better IMO.

*Forbrylsenden in Danish, which kinda means "The Crime" but also "The Puzzling"

I finished watching The Fall a couple of weeks ago, I don't watch many series, but it's best thing I can remember seeing for a long time, I couldn't wait for each next episode.
Have just also just watched Queens Gambit immediately after it following recs here, I thought that was well done and I loved Beth but seemed a bit flat overall for me after The Fall- just didn't have me gripped and wanting the next episode in the way The Fall did

We stopped watching The Fall as we wanted to see the Queens gambit, but i' too am finding it a bit flat in places. I'm enjoying it, but with say Ozark, I couldn't wait to watch it, but with this i can.

Watched 'FATMAN' last night, and we loved it. Santa Claus film without the mawkishness. Mel Gibson stars.

We've just bought a new tv that's got Apps and things that the old 'dumb' tv didn't.

MiniTaff found redbull tv and this film about Brad Binder. I don't really follow bike racing so had never heard of the lad, it's a good watch
