I reckon, based on the tank shape, exhaust layout and tailpipe shape, plus the similarity in reg number to this one, that's it's a Model 9 (500cc)...Sunny wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2024 6:21 pm Been nagging my mum to dig this photo out for years.
It's my grandad (and granny, who died before I turned one), on his bike at some point in the 1940s. As it's wartime/just after, he's wearing his Fire Service uniform so he doesn't get done
Beyond it being a Sunbeam I know nothing else about it. I'd love to know what happened to it.

I bought a plate from DVLA a couple of weeks ago (RA63 LDV) It was only £250 but it turned out when i was trying to put it in my reg doc, i could not use it as it made my motor look younger Luckily i had 14 days to change my mind and got a refund.

This'll be a bit costly. Usually the hire companies turn a blind eye to minor damage, but not this time

A. None of our nice clothes were ruined in this wash, and that the only outcome is that we look as if we buy our tea towels from Brighton.
And
B. That it wasn't me who put the offending non-colour fast item in there.

My corduroy colour palette is limited to earthy hues, I'll thank you for asking. It includes taupe, mushroom, fired earth, terracotta, olive green, sandstone and potter's clay.Rockburner wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2024 9:40 amWas the offending item one of your pairs of red corduroys?gremlin wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2024 9:26 am IMG-20240712-WA0001_copy_864x1536.jpg

All with elasticated waist for comfort of movement.
(The offending item was that Desigual bag-for-life (colour-for-one-wash)).

Re: utterly random picture thread.
Reminds me of wife's story about attending the Bath Festival (kind of precursor to Glasto, stonking line-up though). Mate's brother cooked up some rice, which turned out pink. Turns out he'd previously tie-dyed his T-shirt in the pan.
