I bought this for the wife.

It's so much nicer to drive than the GLA she was going to buy.

Dropped a friend at the airport, went for breakfast, visited middle daughter, husband and baby, then went Porsche shopping.
Put a bid on a Spyder, and a couple of GT3s, let's see who comes back with the best price.

I might sack it off if I can't find the right one soon and go looking for a Ferrari.
I'm having fun looking and trying new cars though.

Mowed the meadow, finished just as the heavens opened and got half-drowned putting the mower away, but hey - could have been worse, I could have been half-way through 😆

Tinkered with the bike - dug out the KettenMax and cleaned the chain properly, lubed and adjusted it, charged the tracker, and set up a Chain Monkey (an experiment to see if it makes adjusting the chain faster - it's always been a job I end up doing about four times before I get it right).

Messed with the log splitter to see if I could work out where/why the hydraulic system is leaking. Got rained off.

Went for a long walk across the flats with my friend and his dog - really beautiful with grown out knee high grass.
Fitted a SAE lead to the NC so I can charge on the go ( if I ever get to go anywhere in this weather)
Booked some flights to Japan in October with a stopover in Hong Kong on the way back - not done this in a long time what with Covid.
Bought a ramp as we don’t have a dropped kerb - cheap one from eeeebayyy so let’s see.
Busy week ahead but 2 conferences to go to so not all bad - just wish the weather would get better

I adjusted the chain on my NC. First time I’d done the job in years - still have the 22mm spanner in my rucksack atm as I’m paranoid it’s too loose .

Similar paranoia meant I actually used a torque wrench. I usually just go with a good lean 😆

Went to a Speed Awareness Course.

'Does everybody have their photo ID?'

Me frantically patting every pocket before admitting I had forgotten to bring my wallet. Cue making the walk of shame out of the room.

The speed awareness course I did was in the afternoon, I had to go to work in the morning. But things got a bit involved and I was pretty late leaving for the course. Probably should have been banned for the way I rode to get to the course just about on time!! :angelic-green: :angelic-green:

Hey-ho. It is what it is. I've rebooked an online course for tomorrow, as time is ticking to get it done. else I get the points. Another £30 fee to rebook.

I did have a photo of my license on my phone, which the nice lady apologetically explained they couldn't accept, had to be the actual license, etc. Tomorrow's online course involves a bit where I have to show my license to the camera in order to identify myself....

After being without a dentist for years ( Covid and then my dentist went private) I’ve finally got round to finding and registering with an NHS one.

There might be a lot of work needing done :silent:

Had a v nice hike this morning and ended by sitting having a bite to eat while watching a dog training class. I think it could become a new spectator sport. :D

Interesting to see how over-treating and compulsive clicking creates dogs that think bad behaviour brought under control generates a treat while dogs that only get the treat if they do something right first time didn't misbehave.
One or two dogs clearly thought it was owner training class (which I suppose it is really). You could almost sense them rolling their eyes thinking 'clockwise...c'mon, it's not that hard' or 'crack on, walk away then come back again, you can do it, I'll just wait here, don't worry, I won't be far away'.

Overall though I'd say the dogs enjoyed it.

Last one I had to do was in Basingstoke at 2pm, unfortunately I had to contest a parking fine in Gloucester at 1200, left at 1pm and still had time for a pre-sanctimonious lecture coffee with the bike gently tik-tik-tik-ing in the car park :1
