New 12 speed XT Cassette for the Epocalypse and also new 10T and 12T cassette cogs which are unfortunately on back order till July/August (which necessitated the new cassette). Chain is not quite on the limit but last time I changed it, it was pretty skippy for a few weeks in the smallest cogs and that was many miles ago so I don't think a new chain will work on what's there at the moment.

I'll clean up and store the old cassette (and chain) and probably use them as the winter system.

T type XO groupset for the Epocalypse + 36T chainring for warp 9.9 down Wendover Express!

Though I have to wait for the Onyx Hub XD driver to arrive before I can fit it.

Nope cycle to work scheme, it's about half price if you're a higher rate tax payer.

Evolution Cycles Eastbourne, Kev the LBS owner is an Onyx importer

It's got to come from Onyx but for my Classic hub they do two types, ally or steel (I've gone for steel as its centre of hub mass and it's an e-bike).

Be careful as depending on your hub version/vintage/age it may need a new axle and end caps.

@MingtheMerciless many thanks.

Hub is a brand new Vesper I picked up for a steal on eBay… I have a 12spd NX cassette I could put on it but that’s over 600g, and I’ve got a couple of part worn X01 cassettes that are over 200g lighter and it’s going on an unassisted bike so saving 1/2lb makes a difference, even if at the centre of the rear wheel…

I’ll give them a shout.

They are Ergon ones - which aren't open ended - but are two part - so grip "n" plug. And whilst doing killer lines at the Red Bull Hardline, I must have lost one

Picked up a Fox Mainframe MIPS lid from Evans today for £40… Usually £80…

Not the most feature packed helmet, and its peak is fixed, but it fits me spot on and offers a decent amount of protection, and it matches my new bike and will do in lieu of buying another Smith Forefront 2 (which I love, but they’re £200 rrp now!!!) for a while…

I have a thing for Troy Lee Moto shorts (got 3 pairs) they weren’t cheap (£70ish) but I’ve a pair from 2009 that are only just dying and they’ve been worn every year in all conditions, sadly they went out of production and the few pairs that do pop up on eBay are usually tatty and worn, until tonight, I found a pair that look brand new and have still have tags for the princely sum of £35!!! Hopefully when they arrive they won’t be a dodgy knockoff.
