Nice.

Why do people fit those hideous extra lights to motorcycles?

I couldn't resist it, I looked it up. Did you really only pay that for it?! Wow!

The new 2021 model looks quite sharp (got a bit more poke too).

Now that is a perfect commuter. Cannot argue with that. Enjoy the DCT and economy!

I bid £2k and they thanked me but said there is no movement on the asking price at all. So £2495 it was! When bikes are in this bracket, idgas really. My season ticket would be over £4k a year so I can write them off anyway, iyswim?

Best time of year to buy a bike.

I got my Tiger 800 from a main Trumpet dealer for a grand under the going rate, mid December, I paid £5k for it and got offered £5k for it two years later at trade in... it then sold at £6200!

Taipan wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 11:38 am Right, I sold the BMW as the Scooter is perfect from my commuting needs. Trouble is, having a bike there is one thing, having no bike there is another. I always miss a bike when I don't have one! But I know for commuting in London's traffic I prefer an automatic, hence the regular scoot ownership thing. So a bit of a no brainer to go back to an auto/DCT bike really and meet both my needs.

I had a N750X a couple of years back, but it was when I was waiting on a replacement knee and it put my knackered knee in exactly the wrong position, so it had to go. I also found it very under powered. Some time later I bought a manual NC700X which had way more grunt than my 750 ever did and led me to conclude the 750 was probably A2 restricted?

Having thought about it for 2-3 minutes, I couldn't shake the idea of owning another DCT, so I had a quick look on eBay and found Craigs Honda had one with a good few extras such as heated grips, spotlights, bigger screen, centre stand, heated grips, TUTORO chain oiler etc. Great service history but with 38k miles. These low revving engines do spaceship mileages and you cant load a auto engine either, so the mileage wasnt a issue for me and it brought it down to great price! So another one of my hasty decision was made on the spot and I rang them straight away and bought it! :D

Not sure it'll be perfect in Portimao, but will be great to see.

Probably very hand in deepest darkest Kazakhstan, but not exactly needed to light the way through London! I'll keep them to start with as they might be handy to burn the retinas out of anyone who dares to pull out in front of me, but on the XTX I had I took all that crap off.

Its been taken out to 860cc, has a HRC hi lift cam, HRC clutch springs, bigger injectors, remapped by Hilltop and I went 2 up on the rear sprocket and it eats 3 weetabix. Its a fecking wheelie monster and with its Akra on it'll growl like a Grizzly and pull like a freight train. 8-)

I reckon it's the 2010's version of the 1990's loud exhaust pipe.
