Re: Intro
Hello. And oooo - I plan to try and get a test ride on an MT10 (probably won't let me test an SP, but I probably won't be able to afford that anyway!!) .
A mate looked at me in horror yesterday and told me that the MT10 is just a total lunatic bike - this does not put me off!!
Welcome in - someone may offer a pineapple hegdehog at some point

Re: Intro
I found the MT10 more civilised than the Super Duke R, I am a short arse so most bikes have me on my tiptoes, a lot mental re-djustment was required when I moved over to the DCT Xadv,Noggin wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 9:40 am Hello. I always thought I had long legs (had to buy longer jeans than 'standard') until I started riding bikes The first bike I've had that I can get both feet flat is a very old Monster 600 - and I can bend my knees as well It's like a dinky toy!! :loltony22b wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 10:42 amI found the MT10 more civilised than the Super Duke R, I am a short arse so most bikes have me on my tiptoes, a lot mental re-djustment was required when I moved over to the DCT Xadv,Noggin wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 9:40 am Hello. Good to hear about the MT10. I've had a TLs (97) and an old ZX10r, so figure I won't be too scared

How do you find the X-Adv, especially as an owner of very fast bikes previously?
I keep thinking about getting and X-Adv but haven't taken the leap yet.
Knocking on 60 years old, it fits my needs perfectly, I tend to ride more upright these days and enjoy the views, its got more than enough speed etc and I can see the potholes and camera vans way more than I did on my naked's, I added all packs so have touring capabilities luggage wise, heated grips etc, I would recommend an extended test drive to see if it fits your needs, it does pleasantly surprise a lot of people who actually ride it, most negative point is attraction to thieves,

Not sure that I can explain how a pineapple hedgehog became the default party food for welcoming people to a forum but it started waaaaaay back and there was a specific emoji on a predecessor to this forum
We don't have that emoji on here and, try as I might, I couldn't find it anywhere.
^^^^ that's as close as I got. A sort of cheese/sausage/Ogen melon hedgehog.
