£6700, good bike by all accounts but it's just a budget road bike really unless you spend a fortune on rally raid stuff ,at which point you may as well just buy a tenere 700.. Now I know the Himalayan is no enduro bike but it should be up to some serious rugged adventure travel, green lanes etc out the box.??? Hope it turns out to be well built and reliable.

Zontes have just teased these...
It's the ZT 703 F adventure bike. 699cc three-cylinder engine, 85 Nm torque at 7,200 rpm with peak power of 100 horsepower at 9,000 rpm. Frame and swing arm both aluminium.
Be interesting to see how that's priced.

Disagree with that. The Himalayan was a design from a blank piece of paper to a full production bike. First RE with water cooling. First with 4 valves per cylinder. First with tubeless spoked wheels. Completely and utterly new, and with lots and lots of British engineers involved.
The KTM maybe built in India, but is an Austrian designed bike.
The Triumph is little more than a rebadged Bajaj, and built down to a price.
The 452 will retail in Spain at the equivilantof £5,060 which is just £1,065 more than I paid for my 2019 411cc Himalayan. Bargain.

Had a go on one of these today - only a few miles but the impression was really good, better than I thought it would be frankly.
It's much taller than I expected, which I like. In fairness this one had the 20mm seat lift. Speaking of which it's really comfortable, ergos were ace. Grips did seem a bit thick, though. Dash is surprisingly cool. It's much more substantial than the old one without feeling heavy.
Not the fastest thing but it's grunty-ish down low. I didn't get full revs as it's only done a hundred miles or so but it felt actually very un-vibey too.
Fit & finish looked pretty good as well.
Rode very well on the road at 60. Suspension is surprisingly good. Took it down some nadgery little lanes covered in dried up mud & it was nice and stable getting the rear wheel a bit squirrelly.

That's the bestest colour way too, shame it's the most expensive one.
Didn't have the option tubeless time by the looks of it.
Also, I've never noticed in other pics how large the rear disc is!

The 452 I test rode in Murcia had tubless wheels, confirmed by the tyre valve, not just the tyre sidewall.
Ordered mine (with tubeless tyres), was told it should be here by end of May.
Wonder if RE have a pecking order of countries that get their bikes first?
