I knew as much about the bike before their video as I did after it.
Seen all those same scenic roads on the Enfield videos. I watched it to see what they thought of the bikes, specifications, performance, overall impressions of them, etc. Ended up feeling I'd wasted nearly an hour of my life trying to learn things about the Triumph that they never said.

Depending how the reliability looks for the Indian 'beta tester group' and how they're priced at Malta's only Triumph dealer, I may take the plunge. Reliability is a big question unfortunately as the bikes are made by Bajaj with a Triumph badge added and even within India, Bajaj are not known for quality manufacturing.
I think Triumph will say they are are made in collaboration with Bajaj with Triumph quality systems. Triumph are not stupid enough just to let a sub contractor loose without a proper end to end set of quality specs.
I love the look of both of them, makes me want to take a look at a speed twin again

I agree they didn't say much about the bikes, except to say at the end something along the lines of the bikes had no problem coping with the journey. I suppose they probably considered the footage of the trip spoke for itself? I'd have liked a bit more though. Also, they had a support crew. How much spannering took place?

I enjoyed that review,then again I usually enjoy Revzilla reviews.I've no idea what it will be like to own,but I hink it looks quite good,unlike most bikes coming out of Japan these days.
I saw one of these today, it's a nice looking bike, it's about the same size as a 350 YPVS, has proper seats and a grab rail, if I wanted a bike for enjoying myself without going stupid fast I'd definitely consider one.

Yeah I saw a Scambler and it looked really good. But in MCN they mentioned that whilst top speed is 96, it's happy cruising speed is 65. They said doing 70 felt like the engine was straining a bit. Which sounds a bit pants for a 400
Enfield have some scramblers in the pipeline with the 650 twin. They'll probably have a little bit more oomph & be around the same price, I'm guessing.
I've seen photos of them & they actually look very nice.

Sounds very pants, the DRZ400 I had 24 years ago was better than that, and it was wasn't exactly aerodynamic.

Good to know they're finally getting around to making a Scrambler, I've been waiting for them to release a 'Scrambler' 650 twin ever since they brought out the Interceptor..
I did an off road day in Wales on the Triumph Scrambler and was massively impressed by it's capability. I thought it'd be the wrong tool for the job (compared to full on adventure bikes) but was very wrong.
On road I didn't notice it running out of breath.
Only negative was the XE model was a bit tall for me (I'm 5'10). Maybe the wide seat.

Do you mean this 400 scrambler or the older bigger capacity one?
