Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
First ride to Devil's bridge this year,I was regretting using my Summer gloves
Best behaviour,as not only are all the average speed camera's up,but on two occasions we encountered a mobile radar van..
At least I was wearing my Winter jacket & had my beanie for off the bike socialising.
There should be enough of a gap between the rain & showers to get the SV run in next week

Is it a legal requirement over there to display the owner's age on the bike?

Car's been in the shop getting MOT prepped cos I'm a lazy bastard so I've been riding the GS all week. Couldn't be arsed changing to the 17s so it's been on knobblies. Gets a bit sketchy over 80 and sounds like an army Saracen apparently.

Pulled the JAPton out of the shed last night.

Even more irritatingly i managed to twist the kickstart lever on the shaft, so I'm hoping the damage to the splines isnt bad.Skub wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 10:44 amThe full fat classic machine experience.Rockburner wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 10:38 am Pulled the JAPton out of the shed last night.

I've been neglecting the Zed of late, but after riding the H1 for a while, the turbine power of the big bike, handling and brakes that all work is something else. It's a great reality check to ride something older and realise how some things have moved on a million years.

A bit more cleaning and tasting about, bled the clutch so took it out for a quick hour, was warm in the sun which promptly fucked off as soon as I set off so 1 hour was plenty.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Another fun and full (100 miles) day on the lanes of southern England yesterday on the old faithful orange bike, and another puncture ( well more accurately, a rotten rusted away valve core finally gave up the ghost where it enters the tube) , but it wasn't my turn this time so that was nice
And even better, the rain stayed away until the drive home, which was an unexpected bonus, yay!
I also attached a cheapy (£27 delivered ) not-a-gopro GoPro Session clone to the front of the old girl as a test ( this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/226020903008 ) - I bought it for the Bandit, mainly as it is small and cheap, but the picture quality is pretty shit IMO when you're moving, and youtube seems to make it even worse, so I think I'll do what I should have done in the first place and buy a proper one...
Anyway, a quick and cheesy cobble-together of some of yesterday's footage from it below, for anyone interested

260 miles to Cornwall, the last 100 of which was very very moist. Bike is dirty enough to give @weeksy a seizure
