Safely on the ferry. My heart has stopped pounding.
Foe some reason my anxiety was sky high this morning.
Worried there'd be a problem with ticket or the bike on the trailer. Or anything.
It's only 5 mins from our house so could nip home for anything.
So got here way early and they just waved me straight on. Phew.
Now a very boring 7 hours.
And the pool is empty

At least I'm smart enough to post a picture of my pet in this thread....

Re: Have we got a 'Show us your pets' thread?
This little beauty is Lady. Found her in October living in filth under a trash bin in the next village with a fractured hip. Took a couple of weeks of feeding her to gain her trust before I could get her in the car and to the vet. She's had 2 operations and is now happilly charging round the field like a loon most days A good friend of mine was visiting when I caught her - he's coming over in a couple of weeks to adopt her after which she'll be heading off to his in May
Found these 3 in the same village in December (pic was taken in February, they've grown a lot since then). Born to a stray I'd been feeding for months, I was told she had been spayed but obviously not Born 50 metres away from the municipality shelter which exists solely to capture, neuter and release Managed to catch the mum a week later, had her neutered, blood test etc and a friend of mine fostered her for 3 months before finding her a great home. Not much hope of finding homes for these 3 pups though, there's just too many of them over here.

Sadly a lot of places in mainland europe have a relatively dismissive view on quality of life for dogs (and cats, and probably other animals). I despair sometimes at some of the peeps around here that just don't seem to neuter any of their animals and just let them keep breeding and if they get to the point they can't give them away, they kick them out
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!!
