You can even buy a tool for it, if you can't find a KGB assassin to borrow one from.
e string from a guitar will also work. B or G too! But only in standard tuning.

Got any paracord laying around? if so take a length apart and use one of the thin inner cords, it's not as strong as fishing line but does the job in a pinch.
Oh wow, that's a leap and I think a good one at thatA_morti wrote: Sat Mar 30, 2024 4:52 pm The mule is gone! I've swapped it for a 2012 CBR 250.
In monetary values I'm losing, but it's worth it to me to be out of this bike and not have to deal with Joe Public to sell the BMW.
The CBR is a one owner bike with @9000km on the clocks. New tires on, it has lived in a garage and is in decent condition if not as good as the fz6.
250cc bikes have a huge advantage as second bikes... 25€ road tax, where the mule was 175€-odd. Plus it's small light, feels like a Honda. Just my kind of thing. It should be just what I need for running around the island, and letting the fz stay cozy when it's wet out.
I'll post more about the new one once the logbooks are done and it's in my possession.
Anyone got any good suggestions for removing that tank pad?
I have some nylon cord I could take a strand off.MrLongbeard wrote: Sat Mar 30, 2024 6:46 pm

If it's not scruffy or overly worn, I'd just leave it. Embrace your BNPness.
It'll get one, once it's in my possession.

A slightly louder exhaust is on the table, but just for personal preference not any dreams of it actually going faster.roadster wrote: Sun Mar 31, 2024 9:46 am To be fair to Honda the CB300R I have now is nowhere near as dull as the CBR250 to ride and has a much improved power delivery.
