Re: What have you done today thread?
Got in just after 6pm.
Started painting. Sort of got into my stride. Done first coat of emulsion in the Gremlinette's bedroom, en-suite and walk-in wardrobe*. Ceilings and walls.
Just finished. Knackered.
*Making it sound much more grand than it is. You can walk into it, when it's empty.

Re: What have you done today thread?
7 miles walk
8 mile cycle
1 hour weights in the man cave.
Got lots of trackdays coming up.
They're bloody expensive from over here so I work bloody hard to be fit enough for them
1st April I'll be joining the pool/gym and swimming mile a day

Drained fuel filter on the F350
Changed filter
Bought oil for the ST at one store
Bought Wix filter for the ST at another store (& three other things I didn't go in there for...)
Hit Wally World for food & phone charger cord for the F350
Hit Costco
Moved SBH & F350 out of side yard
Power washed side driveway to remove dirt & some spilled diesel
Came up with a plan to take care of issue with broken corner bracket for the tonneau cover on the F350 that will involved a clamp of some sort instead of carving a new piece out of billet with a hacksaw, files, die grinder & belt sander etc
Sat down to breakfast at 3.20pm

Did *something* to the middle two fingers on my left hand.. which I only discovered when I found I couldn't bend them. No idea WTF I did, took about 20 minutes to regain usual range of motion.
Dropped off 6 gal of used motor oil at GhettoZone.
Dropped off $33 in soda cans & plastic water bottles at the recycle place
Donated one of the shop vacs at the Veterans thrift store place

Forgot I'm too old for such silliness and had a joyous time in the mosh at Pendulum. I therefore have an entire two photos from early on in the gig, before I gave up being sensible further away from the action, and some very happy memories

Got up, did some work online, drank coffee, fed the birds, had a shower.
Exciting stuff.

Let the cat out for the first time since I got it. It's been zooming round the garden, pouncing on things, zooming off and generally having a good time.

Not done half as much as I should have but I will finish this panelling today. Life would be so much easier if plasterers knew what plumb was!

Re: What have you done today thread?
Being Good Friday I was up early to take a Stations of the Cross meditation in the church. Then off for a Walk of Witness from the town centre, several hundred Christians from the various churches in the area gathered. Then back to my other church for a frugal lunch and midday meditation. Then back to the ancient church for "The Last Hour" service. Home sometime after 3.15 and then took dog for an hour walk in the local woods. I am knackered now, but it has been a good day.
Proverbs 17:9
One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

Cleared out the last room in the house that hasn't been touched since we bought the place, that has basically acted as a dumping ground , in anticipation of a builder arriving on Monday to give us a quote (to knock a wall out and stick a steel in).
Also managed two lovely dog walks in the sunshine, despite the torrential rain and thunder that we've also had today

Re: What have you done today thread?
It's been thunder, lightning & heavy rain showers around here today so I did 101 KM's on Zwift.I don't know if we have many Zwifters on here but I wanted to get in a 100KM ride before the end of the month & it's been a bit busy recently..
Now that's out of the way it leaves me clear to make the most of the good weather forecast over the next couple of days & do some motorcycling.I'll finish off the DIY & fit the Shad luggage rack I bought for my SV650 when the next block of rain turns up,being a BH weekendI don't think I'll have to wait to long.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Had a day reminiscing and catching up with my oldest pal. Been pals since early teens and grew up 200 yards apart.
Had bikes together and lots of daft stuff over the years.
I was an usher at his wedding and him best man at my wedding.
And he read the eulogy at my wife's funeral 25 years ago. Not seen him since
Sadly we lost track but mutual pals sort of kept us up to date with each others news.
He bombarded me with millions of questions and was a great day.
Showed him some of my fave places on the island.
Then a guided tour of our little villa ending in a beer at my local.
Only a short trip here this time but he's back in a few weeks and we'll do it again

The bottom plinths won't get fitted until the floor is tiled and I've just spotted that the cupboard hiding the boiler needs an infill making, but other than that, I'm done.Sunny wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 5:54 pmPics or we won't believe you...KungFooBob wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 3:53 pm Finished my kitchen... as far as fitting and plumbing go.
