Don't allow the posts to be searched for, either on the site or by a search engine.
Posts automatically deleted after a set period. Two weeks maybe.

It's closed to the general public.
Make it a members only section so they have to pay an extra £50 to enter.
Unregistered and unpaid people cannot get access, so no one will wander in accidentality and report anything.

You're missing the point... Lets say they want to post in there and are non-members. They then throw in their pennies and post in there.

"You can't tell me what i can or can't post, i've paid money"

That may not be... but there's a lot of options, so possibly.

Ignore all complaints about posts in there apart from a regular (weekly?)

I get a surprising amount of emails/PMs, so filtering through them would take just as much time as ignoring them or actioning them.

Could you raise money for the forum by requiring anyone who wants to post in politics has to solve repeated captcha puzzles, somebody must be profiting from AI* training.

How many of the regulars (not occasional responders) in current affairs make a significant contribution else where?
Work out who they are because they'll be the members you lose.
Then decide if you can afford to lose them and if the answer is yes bin it.

The aim was to build a bike forum not replicate TRC and some losses are inevitable if you don't

I'm sure we know the answer to that...

What would have been nice though is if some had joined in the discussion in here regarding that section. Maybe in a way, defend their actions on a 'freedom of speech' or 'it's just banter' type thoughts, maybe even something like "this is a matter of importance because....". But as they're sitting silently i'm siting thinking "Why the fuck would i bother re-opening it"

I wouldn't have noticed this thread, apart from the fact that I use the 'new posts' search system, and it came up in that. If all the users do is open each sub-forum by it's link from the main list, they'll never see this discussion. (unless you've put a link in the Politics sub-forum, I've not looked).

The lefty whiners in that section of the forum are the freeloaders that don't subscribe to the forum and rarely (never in at least one case) ever contribute to the bike sections. So faced with having to put their hand in their pocket just to do some political whining they'll just move on to the next free forum to do it instead.

I think you do more trolling with this kind of language than anyone else on this site, then complain about people talking about politics, on threads about politics.

That's the problem at times with the typed word and why 90% of the disagreements wouldn't happen in the outside world isn't it ? People post something to get a slight rise, to make a small point, it then escalates slightly and then a bit more and a bit more..

But i can't change the fact it's typed word, i'm well aware it's only that unless we do video conferencing
