Go on take the p*ss
Go on take the p*ss
Having traded a Versys 650 for a Yamaha TMax 560 late in 2022, which was stolen after less than three months and then buying another Tmax which was stolen six months after I bought it and after being recovered (thanks Datatool) only to be stolen again later last year I think I may have solved the problem.
I've given up on the idea of buying another TMax, despite being an absolute blast to ride. Instead, I've bout a Suzuki Bergman 650. Surely no one is going to want to nick an eight-year-old burger van, are they?
Still, it means I can still get out on two wheels without my buggered-up knees causing me grief, so all good as far as I'm concerned.

I had a Piaggio X-Evo 400 that I commuted from North Essex to Monument (including "Scrote Alley") on most days for 2½ years without any interest from the light fingered.
Maybe my addition of 125cc badges helped it be even more undesirable.

After you having bikes stolen repeatedly, there'll be no piss taking from me. I hope the scrotes leave you in peace and happy new Burger van day. Pics are not necessary.

I'm certain the burger van is a very fine vehicle. Yes, certainly. It certainly looks it, and totally cool.
You'll be very very happy together. For many years. Even if you spend most of those years wishing someone would nick it.
Suits you, sir 0

2 wheels? Engine?
No piss taking necessary, each to his own.

I can't take the piss, I sold my motorbike after I found that I was using my scooter more and more. So sold the bike and scooter and bought a brand new '23 plate XMax 300 techmax.
that's all I have now and it's brilliant.

Re: Go on take the p*ss
If my X-ADV does get nicked i'll not bother with another bike. Probably just get a SH300 and be done with it. Scoots are the best city bike and commuter hacks.

Yeah, they got my last one, so i'm kinda expecting it. But I cant not have things I want because of others, but 2 down will be the turning point...
Re: Go on take the p*ss
Just like me and my TMax 560s. Two of them stolen 3 times in 12 months. First was recovered after five months but written off. Second one was recovered the same day it was stolen, thanks to the tracker and then the second time it was stolen the damage was so bad it was written off.but 2 down will be the turning point...
I still miss having a TMax but can't handle the stress and hassle of having such a desire ride.
Re: Go on take the p*ss
I had no idea things were that bad. It seems living somewhere obscure and riding an old shitbox most people wouldn't know what it is has advantages. My heart goes out, stolen bikes are so much crap.

Miserable. Where were they pinched from? Locked garage, outside your house or on the street parking by some scote with a pikeys master key (cordless angle grinder)

Re: Go on take the p*ss
Well, the private car park I use at work is closed for the next 3 days for maintenance. So the x-adv is parked out on the streets in central London! Might be a new bike thread coming soon...
