Didn't think there was a biker in the UK that hasn't heard of the somewhat iconic Ace Cafe?!

Re: utterly random picture thread.
Yes, it was a dream ride. If I had a huge garage, clean licences, unlimited cash, it would be in there with the Superduke R and other bikes. It was just so stable, smooth, incredibly quick with no effort and wonderful brakes. I really loved that ride and thank @Screwdriver for that opportunity. Still a memory I greatly enjoy (along with riding the Superduke R).Noggin wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 5:41 pmI still have a dream to ride one of those (not near the Ace Cafe tho!!)the_priest wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 5:33 pm Blooming heck, even I've been to the Ace Cafe a few times!! The first few times I went it was carnage with something like 1000 bikes all riding through central London generally ignoring the traffic lights etc. They got a police escort the last couple of times I went, which was >10 years ago.

Re: utterly random picture thread.
Dunno. Thats sounds the same as the southend shakedown. I went once but we bailed as there were people popping wheelies, screaming up the insides of everyone else etc.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2024 2:24 pmDo they still do the Christmas Toy Run?Taipan wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 8:53 amDidn't think there was a biker in the UK that hasn't heard of the somewhat iconic Ace Cafe?!

Re: utterly random picture thread.
I use the Google Translate app a lot to improve my lingo.
Just discovered that I can talk into it so decided to improve my pronunciation
Started with summat simple.
Sandwich de atun sin mayonesa.
It seemed to struggle my Yorickshire accent

Re: utterly random picture thread.
I can't remember which app I was using, but it struggled with my Lancashire accent. I think it would have struggled with any non American accent. The word was "damp". I tried pretty much every variation of vowel sounds: "damp", "demp", "dimp", "domp", "dump", without success until I tried it with my best American accent with two syllables. It liked "dayump" and translated it for me.
