Re: Car thread - which one?
I'd take a Ferrari over a Porsche everyday of the week, regardless of model.
Re: Car thread - which one?
What he said. I've never found Porsches attractive looking. I think perhaps I prefer sharp lines to round lines.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 12:05 pm I'd take a Ferrari over a Porsche everyday of the week, regardless of model.

Re: Car thread - which one?
I had a 3.2 Carrera Sport (around 25 years ago!) and have driven 308s and a 328, but not a 255. I'd have another 911 but I wouldn't buy one of the Ferraris - they're really pretty but I just found them a bit disappointing when you're in one.

F355 in particular tugs at my Heartstrings, probably my second favourite Ferrari.
If it's a classic 911 it's gotta be air cooled though, so you're OK there.

Re: Car thread - which one?
I'm 6'2 so a Porsche as i could actually get in it. I'd get a Carrera rather than a turbo as they are nicer to drive, even if they don't look as good as the wider bodied turbo.
The Ferrari probably looks and sounds better but the build quality on those (that i've seen) is shite and they are a money pit of a thing to own. That would spoil the ownership experience for me as well.

70's / 80's there were only 2 supercars that were supercars in my opinion, which doesn't count for much as I'd not pay 50p for either

I'll take the Porker. The Ferrari design is too 'wedgy'.

Neither of the above. Am I allowed to suggest an alternative?

I'd want paying and a lot too, to own a Countach or even drive one. Probably one of the worse cars I have ever driven.MrLongbeard wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 12:35 pm 70's / 80's there were only 2 supercars that were supercars in my opinion, which doesn't count for much as I'd not pay 50p for either

Re: Car thread - which one?
LOL! I used to have a black one with a 460CobraJet in it. At the time there were 10 Duallys on my 1/2 mile street (32 homes), they're popular at this end of the county, not so much down the hill in LA.

How about a Porker that looks a bit like a Ferrari?

Re: Car thread - which one?
The Porsche without a doubt, it's classier and going to be a lot more reliable.
