Lurk no longer
Lurk no longer
Evening everybody. Long time lurker now unable to "get out more" I thought I'd chance my arm and see quite how sarky you all are. It'll be a pleasure I'm sure
I'm a more/less lifelong (serial) rider of various BMW Ks and currently ride a k1100rs. I know but someone has to, honestly they're under-rated. I also have an ancient AJS trials bike and a few tractors, if you are spotting a theme.
I'm currently enjoying the tender ministrations of a local chemotherapist hence more time for this and less for,er, that. One day all good things come to an end.
Cheers to all (and no, I can't drink either)

Helloooo
Good luck with the chemo
Most are pretty sarky but all have good hearts (you kinda gotta dig for some of them!!)
Have fun, careful not to poke the bear to much (not telling which/how many bears)

Evening fella. If you've been lurking you'll know very well who the twunts are,but for a few extra well placed quid you can be allowed to delete their posts and suspend their collective arses.
That's the arrangement I have anyway.

Well done for fronting up and outing yourself to the collective. We'll be gentle with you (said no-one, ever)...
Best of luck with the shitty chemo. Commiserations for that and for the enforced removal of alcohol.
I've never really 'got' BMWs but they've earned my grudging respect for the way that an ex-plod friend of mine rides them.
Start putting yourself about a bit...

Oh, they're not for eating! It's an international symbol of friendship 'cos it's a 'no-longer spiky' hedgehog. It's a bit like the symbolism of the handshake ie 'look, my sword hand is empty'. There's a fair bit about it on Wikipedia.

Well I'm a completely mystified of vomit central brickie this morning. I'll put it down to the delightful chemicals from ward 9 fudging my brains as well as guts.
Non spiky hedgehogs. You'll be on about non- shitless cows next. Or the joys of owning a harley.

Re: Lurk no longer
When I was going through chemo I was as sick as a dog, I was living at home (still a teenager, although only just) and my sister would waft pickled onions under my nose to try and induce me to vomit. It sounds a bit macabre but at the time I needed all the humour I could get and I'd be sitting in the kitchen with a bowl, puke coming down my nose and my sister wafting pickled onions around and going "Mmmmmmmmm"Brickie wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 7:49 am Well I'm a completely mystified of vomit central brickie this morning. I can't imagine months of that was easy to handle as a young un. The charming folk of ward 9 tell me " it doesn't matter, ya just got to eat, 4 meals a day if you can". Yesterday a case in point: without much enthusiasm I cooked a decent looking lunch, served it then sat staring at it with even less enthusiasm. Forced it down (everything tastes of copper sulphate, can't even drink tea). Then throw the lot down (up?)the toilet.Potter wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 8:08 amWhen I was going through chemo I was as sick as a dog, I was living at home (still a teenager, although only just) and my sister would waft pickled onions under my nose to try and induce me to vomit. Re: Lurk no longer
Yeah they told me it was better to have something in your stomach all the time to help with the sickness, so I'd try and cram digestives or something down. When I really complained about the sickness they gave me some tablets, I can't remember what they were but they said they don't immediately offer them because they're so expensive!
Long time ago now though, I made a complete recovery, fingers crossed for you bud.
