I've never seen a Harry Potter film.

I've never managed to watch an entire episode of any of the "vote for talent" TV shows.

I have never thought that having children was the right move for me.

Never had a claim on my car or bike insurance (53 years)

Although that’s probably completely jinxed it.

I had a television free childhood and didn't own one myself until I was around 30 years old.

Which leaves honey and a finger up the arse. Could kill two birds with one stone to clear the list.

Just a suggestion, mind. Dip your finger in the honey before the doc does. ;)

I'm a bit surprised by the honey one since it is such a regular ingredient in mixes for splodging on meat for barbecues. Works a treat for thickening up the goop and caramelises a treat to give that  finish.

(I do a chicken thigh thing with red chilli, ginger, garlic, lime juice and honey marinade).

Resist the temptation to lick your (or the doctor's) finger after.

I was a latecomer to Honey too, had it in stuff but never really got around to eating it in it's own right.

It often gets lumped in with syrupy stuff as just sweet...which is true, for a lot of Honey. But as someone one here (Tafff?) who keeps bees pointed out, 'proper' honey is a different beast all together. So now I'm a convert.

It's also really fucking expensive :D Very labour intensive to make I guess, especially for the bees.

Dunno about other people going 'eh?' but I make myself do it when I realise I've never set foot in the USA. Canada a few times but never across the border. (Odder still as for a while I had teams/projects in Houston and Seattle).

Almost feel I ought to go, just to tick the box. :D

(But not to Houston).

Oh - never been in a helicopter! Which really surprises a lot of people
From an old Lightning Pilot “Never fly in a helicopter, even the manufacturers have no faith in their product, they equip them with wheels, floats, skids etc, anything to give them a fighting chance on the way down!”

Also from the same guy “flying a helicopter, wiggle all the controls vigorously until you reach a sensible height, once there hold the controls in one position, see what the helicopter does and if you want it to do it again remember the position”.
From reading Chickenhawk by Robert Mason*, the Huey pilots and the plane pilots did a swapsies in Vietnam and the Huey pilots were a shitload better with a plane than the plane pilots with a helicopter.

*Funny/harrowing/interesting true story about a Huey pilot in and after his experience of the Vietnam war.

Talking of military things, I seem to hang around with a lot of ex Army and Marines. They're all genuinely surprised that I've never shot anyone.

I know that flying a plane is a bit like riding a bicycle.
I have been told that flying a helicopter is like riding a unicycle.

The Army Air Museum at Middle Wallop includes exhibits on early pilot selection tests, around vestibular... Err ... Stuff. Turns out they were filtering out potentially 'good' pilots and keeping the dodgy ones for training.

I did a load of the RAF pilot aptitude tests back when I was applying for a scholarship. Passed the tests (out of ~40 people only two of us did) but didn't get the scholarship :obscene-birdiedoublered:

There's all the hand eye coordination and spatial orientation stuff etc you'd expect. The real killer though was the multi tasking / information processing stuff. Doing mental arithmetic, memory tests, pong type computer games and hearing tests simultaneously :D

If was to give it all up and start again I still think I'd be a pilot...or maybe a chef. Mrs D hates flying anyway :P
