We went out on the EBikes last night, it was 0 to -5C and battery capacity was certainly diminished, esp after they sat outside the pub for 2 hours!! In the end one of my mates needed a tow for the last 3/4 mile😂

Cracking commute being chased by the Terminator, bloody cold though, -5C and wind chill from a Baltic Northerly.

Oh it's bloody cold for sure today... I expect it helps lots with the mud though. I'm kind dreading the fact that in a few days the rain is coming back and it'll get sloppy again. So i'll be making the most of it later and getting out for a play.

Yeah I’m making the most of the crunchy rock hard ground as I’d much rather it was cold and crisp than muddy and mild. I did have a slight peril moment this morning as I hit a large long puddle expecting to crunch it but me and the 40lb EBike just skated very crossed up across a solid block of ice 😂

I am hoping to break my long absence of riding by going out tomorrow. It is -4 here - so not going out even though it is sunny
The thing is - manual gets you warm but my knees will probably give out. Eebs are cold but easier on the legs

So back at it.
Last week did a 66km ride to Richmond, few laps and back home, was chilly, di2 batter run out on the last lap so that was fun going home.

Then headed out again Sunday with my mate, only managed 44km as the wife bought our little man, (plus it was windy AF) he loved being and riding with us, honestly it was really cool. (He needs some little electric bike)

It’s nice being out in the cold,

Been mostly out of action for 3 weeks due to Lurgy. Did a couple of gentle Zwifts at the end of last week and a Emtb ride on weekend.

So i was really happy this morning when i jumped on Zwift for a Crit race and it doesn't seem to have really affected or killed my power/fitness. Maybe very very slightly, but pretty decent considering and finished with a 5th place which was pretty acceptable.
