I downloaded A Bridge Too Far for £3.99 off some TV app, I now have 48hrs to watch it and I'm going to stick it on this afternoon.
I'm really looking forward to it - I did have it on DVD but we threw them all in the skip along with the DVD player when we moved

By coincidence, I'm currently reading Military Blunders by Saul David and just finished the section on Market Garden. The whole operation was based on wishful thinking and denial of evidence. Would laughable if it wasn't so tragic.

Selsey. Where the road through the town ends, by the car park. It was the tail end of a storm, shingle swept up all over the road. A couple of hours later, flat calm & fog!
