I tried that, my soup blew away. We've had some proper weather up here, base level F9 and gusting F11.

Apparently very good for getting a big Nov 5th bonfire going.

Build the heap with a tunnel from the side. Push in a lit box of oil-soaked rags. Then, when the kindling takes, blast it with the leaf blower.
Roots superchargers, beloved of 1990s/2000s Jags and enormous drag car V8s among others, were originally invented for doing basically that ^^^ in blast furnaces.
Coventry clmax race engines are pump engines. Takes a genius or idiot to look and something and think I can make a car go faster.

Rootes (iirc). Also used on Pre-war Bentleys (amongst other things).

Nope - it is Roots. I am certain I've seen it somewhere with an "e", and that's stuck in my head. Maybe an old description that I read.
Rootes make/made engines which use Roots blowers, but they're not related :D

Think of one as a powered broom. I have no leaves to clear up but the blower does a great job of cleaning dust off the deck, cleaning the back of the van, blowing crap out of the shed, clearing grass clipping, the list is endless. An extremely versatile tool that no home should be without.

MiniTaff is learning sports massage in college and the more he practices the better he gets, right?

Can't wait until he's learnt another body part, but until then my calves are in top condition 🥳🥳

I have a Stihl battery one (Stihl AK betteries), I also have other Stihl battery tools so the leaf blower fits nicely into the collection.

I wonder if I can get one that works with my Hitachi 18v battery collection? <heads off to Google>...

If they do a 36v one running 2x18v batteries, that's the one I'd go for, for some reason battery leaf blowers are very heavy on battery usage.

This is the only 18v one I can see, and it's for a single battery:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/394325920572

But I do have 2 x 4ah and 2 x 2.5ah batteries, so for the use I'll put it to it should be OK.

Let me know when those guest bedrooms are ready and I'll bring the Gremlin family over for a week.

Does seem to be taking an awfully long time since we last popped in and said we'd come over when they're ready...
