Destination Triumph for Triumphs though I have bought a couple of bikes from Gedges, Pevensey Bay. DG Motorcycles for tyres. Everything else I have done myself.

MT09 is probably the closest you'll get to a Street with Japanese build. Trumpet is better looking though.

Dare I suggest an XSR900? Same 3-cyl motor but less aggressive looks.

I was a bit overwhelmed at Pembrey, in a very enjoyable way but none the less - it was hard to take it all in. There was more movement in the front of yours - I could feel the bump and lines in the tarmac more, but that could have been your tyre.

Disregarding build quality, I think the bike I have now is the best I've ever owned for rideability and that boils down to weight distribution and centre of gravity, the best of both worlds with torque and hp, the suspension is superb and the braking is great. All I want to do on a Street Triple is accelerate, brake and turn until I'm too old or run out of money :lol:

Next time I find a cross threaded nut or bolt and there's bound to be other things, I'll be sure to post about it - if this bike turns out to be a nightmare I'm dragging you lot into it with me because I don't want to dream it alone.

Ducati Monster - Chocolate Teapot <insert story>

I went to the Pyrenees with friends and one of them had a Ducati Monster. We stayed on the French side and her and her husband (GS) popped out for a ride, not far but over the border. They were caught in a heavy downpour and her bike died. She got recovered but the recovery company wouldn't cross the boarder so they were put up a hotel. Her husband didn't have his pillion seat on his bike and they were stuck in Spain all weekend while we partied like legends 30 miles away. We knew that her bike would start on Monday once it had dried out.

I had a CB1000R on that trip and I really loved it. The one bike I'm sorry I sold but it was a bit too big and hot in the summer with a small tank range. I bet if I had parked it outside six years ago and not touched it, it would still be rust free and start first time.
Buy Taipan's CB1000R if you want an early one, I love my 2020 one, but the fuel tank is small and it is a bit thirsty.

GSX-S1000 is very good (but obviously not as good as the CB1000R) and they definitely have plenty of mid range power, you just don't notice it because there's so much too end power.
