What was your first road bike?
After passing my test, it was a Yamaha Virago XV750. Loved that bike.

Re: What was your first road bike?
My first bike having passed my test was a Honda NS125R. It was quite an upgrade over the GP100 I had before, it looked like a proper bike and I didn't need l-plates.
I couldn't afford to insure one before I passed.
I had it almost a year before getting a CBR400RR Tri-arm, that got written off two days later and I was back on the NSR, which I then traded in for a CBR400RR Gull-arm.
Hold on, are you an evil AI datamining?
Do you also want the name of my first pet and the town I was born in?

Ignoring the Lambretta, a 650cc P&M Panther. (Followed by a BSA A7).

A 1971 Suzuki T250 Hustler. I was banned from riding while still on L plates.

90cc Honda C200. Bought with a seized big end bearing due to the previous owner running it without oil. I paid £9 for it. But I was only 16 and clueless.

Honda CB-1. 400cc grey import thing, same engine as a CBR400. T'was an NC27, IIRC t'was the engine from an NC23. Maybe.
I think, and I'm a long way from sure on this, the only "CB" Honda where the official name is hyphenated.

Re: What was your first road bike?
My first road legal bike was a Suzuki TS50ER, my first bike after passing my test was a 250LC, which was also the first bike I raced, as in exactly the same bike, not another 250LC, it was also the first bike I wrote off, poor little thing, it even got trail ridden, it refused to die and was eventually sold after I bought a 350LC, the second bike I wrote off.

She used to let me ride it to Cadets if I'd been a good boy (rather than my Honda Melody). There was one junction where I always used to stall it, because I hardly ever rode anything with gears (even though I passed my CBT on an MT-50).

I had a 1988 Kawasaki AR50. Followed by a 1989 Aprilia AF1 125 the year after.
