Drummers make good helicopter pilots as they have very good hand feet coordination.

Do drummers make good helicopter pilots? Not sure I'd have liked Moon or Baker at the controls tbh.

At least if Baker was at the controls he couldn't be hitting anyone.

Moon would be fine as long as there wasn't any swimming pools.

His father, a bricklayer, was 'Frederick Louvain Formidable Baker' - there's an interesting little factoid. On the negative side, Baker is credited with inventing the drum solo with 'Toad'. :(

When David Essex made some money he bought his Mum and Dad a nice bungalow with some land as his Dad loved gardening but had only had window boxes in their flat. When Dave got his helicopters license he flew over to show his parents his helicopter. He landed in teh field next door and his Dad came out absolutely raving as the downdraft has ruined all his hydrangers! :D He and Cozy Powell passed their test at the same time.

With the possible exception of tall champagne flutes, every drinking vessel you use is longer around the perimeter than it is high.

Try wrapping your thumb and finger around the rim of a coffee mug, then try spanning the height of the same mug with those fingers to prove it.

Mrs D got me Things to make and do in the Fourth dimension for Chrimbo, that fact is in the forward.

I wasn't convinced either, which is kinda the point of the fact

Smidge over 26cm around the rim vs a bit under 23cm tall for example.

The peregrine is renowned for its speed. It can reach over 320 km/h (200 mph) during its characteristic hunting stoop (high-speed dive), making it the fastest member of the animal kingdom. According to a National Geographic TV program, the highest measured speed of a peregrine falcon is 389 km/h (242 mph).

He was apparently very kind to animals and paid for an animal shelter in South Africa leaving him nearly destitute. He was also a pro standard polo player.

On his deathbed, Jack Bruce phoned him and said "Ginger, I'm dying, FUCK YOU!" and hung up. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The new Santander advert on the telebox for the Edge account.

There's a bit where they interview a fisherman. The caption suggests that he's called Captain Quint.

5 RTTL Point to anyone who can spot the link to a famous movie.
