Re: The Best Looking Bike Ever?
That DB2 based special on here the other year was stunning.& as far as I can tell unique

For me it has all the right ingredients, a aircooled twin cylinder motor in a steel tubed frame, light weight & no gadgets/clutter
I wouldn't park it in the garage,it would be in the lounge so that I could look at it when I'm not out riding it.

You've never seen a half faired one. I love the naked EFE, but prefer the old ET.

Re: The Best Looking Bike Ever?
There's hydrogen buses in Belfast. The tanks are supposedly safe to 600 degrees. And they're surrounded by fibreglass that burns at something like 1200....Count Steer wrote: Fri Dec 15, 2023 5:23 pmYup. I saw another thread about the bike but they do look like rocket engines.Rockburner wrote: Fri Dec 15, 2023 5:16 pmThose are apparantly the hydrogen tanks... so if it got rear-ended then you may well get flames out the back!! (albeit briefly)Count Steer wrote: Fri Dec 15, 2023 4:57 pm
Well, if flames came out of the back it would look epic.![]()
(If it got rear ended, there'd be a big pop! and a lot of water.).
First riot will be fun.

'75 Z1-B in blue looked much better.Skub wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 11:40 am Based purely on looks and setting aside any shades of practicality,or what the thing is like to ride.
What's your choice?
The original Z1 with the black engine gets my vote all day long.

Re: The Best Looking Bike Ever?
Wow, I have literally given away classic bikes in better nick than that.
You wouldn't keep much apart from the frame and engine cases to get it registered
To be fair I guess mudguards must be like hens teeth now, the wheels don't look bad so it might be worth 500 quid but we both know its going to fetch a lot more

Mind you, it would be better with the X1 swingarm , thunderstorm heads and a better (Penske if possible) shock

Aren’t hydrogen flames hard to see though?

Re: The Best Looking Bike Ever?
Yup. But I'm sure you could add something to make the flames purple or maybe bright red (strontium should do red iircJackyJoll wrote: Mon Dec 18, 2023 10:53 amYes, it’s not rocket science. I had an ET, good bike, but the GS1000E that had the same frame was better looking.Bigjawa wrote: Sat Dec 16, 2023 2:11 pmYou've never seen a half faired one. I love the naked EFE, but prefer the old ET.

I can't believe that this bike is being touted as a possibility for 'Best looking bike ever'. Get a grip, FFS.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: Fri Dec 22, 2023 10:44 pmI had an ET, good bike, but the GS1000E that had the same frame was better looking.
