How do you know it's not an ST2 or even a 3?

He's had it about 4 years inherited it from a good pal who died.
He keeps mentioning getting summat newer, but it's got sentimental value.

Got out on the SV650 for a much needed winter ride
The mid day sun doesn't get very high at this time of year but at least it's shown up today
The current state of the road surface around here isn't the best for grip, but some lanes were a lot worse than this
I bought this little Suzuki for rides in 'sub optimal' conditions & as a cheap & cheerful run around it's been great, definitely one of my better purchase's

Took the RE out for about 50 miles today. Got a bit cold towards the end though. Roads are pretty shitty but doable at an RE pace.
Ending with a packet of salt and vinegar and a pint of Christmas cracker at the Tiddly. Nice to get out though.

Brilliant day for December, into double figures here. I went out on the bike twice today, just because.

Only on my drive, but been out and got it dirty... The weather's been too good not to quite frankly for December!
Had some good fun with friends sliding about on the back roads, avoiding all the fresh potholes, gravel, muck etc...
Great brekkie and a coffee @ Shobdon Aerodrome cafe too...
All clean now and ready to go back in the garage...

I've stayed at Shobdon Aerodrome a few times while on solo biking trips. It's a great, quirky place to hang out with friendly people and small planes taking off and landing regularly. The first time I stayed there I asked what time the bar shut and they shrugged and said "Whenever the last person leaves". I think the roads of Herefordshire might be the muddiest in the country.mboy wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 4:30 pm Only on my drive, but been out and got it dirty... My poor judgement got the better of me. Saturday was sunny, but the roads turned out to be far from dry. Infact, absolutely filthy. I knew I'd have a job on my hands washing it after. But, it was a nice enough ride out in the sun over to J&S in Oakmere. I had a few moments on the slippy roads, enough to scare me actually. Almost worn S22's maybe didn't help. Spent the rest of the day getting it cleaned up. Tucked away for another month now.

Down a dark road, up a darker lane to a dark church. No ghosts though. Maybe my bright lights scared them off!

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
I nipped out on the SV for some petrol as it looks like we're going for a ride on Boxing day.I ended up doing a 46 mile ride very windswept but it's mild for winter
The roads are full of mud & debris,if it gets much worse I might fit some semi-nobblies

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Rode East to the coast to Santa Pola, then south to Guardamar for a beer, then back north to La Marina.
From there, westwards to Elche, Crevillente, then up towards Novelda, west to Hondon, through La Romana, Alguena, then south to the other Hondon, onto Albatera and then home. Think this will only make sense to a couple on here.
160kms in beautiful riding weather and on empty roads.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Had a Boxing day meetup with my mate's,as ever I was on the SV650,here's some of the more unusual stuff that was there.
A couple of Velocette flat twins
Classic Eastern block two stroke
Handchange AJS
Panther
Group of thumpers
I had one of these in my teens, however mine was aircooled
Good to get out on the bikes for a couple of hours with my mates & home before the rain started (again)

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
As regards the velo twins, the red one os as factory, the blue one is a Valint with an LE motor ( much more available) and hence a LeVal. Nice to see them in use.
