Get a 3-2 pipe with the matt/satin black cans to give it the oe look.
A real hairy chested motorbike.

I do love the double can look - maybe for the future. Mine is fitted with the 3-1 headers - so I would have to change that ...

I really like these. Always fancied one but never ridden an earlier HInckley Triumph than the 955 motored one's.

It is an absolute joy to ride - needs lower footpegs but other than that ...
And the heavier oil in the forks perhaps ...

Sorry - really scabby late reply. Yes - I went to the Bike Shed track day at Brands Hatch, with out you lots ( those some of you may have been there). Mainly as it was a chance to catch up with some folks on the T309 webpages - but also to see what the old girl could do.
As a resume:-
1) I was shitting myself, I have not been on a track since I dropped my brand new 998s at Cadwell in 2002. I shouldn't have - it was great fun, very friendly - and load of people very enthusiastic about whatever they had bought to run.
2) Brands Hatch is all about Paddock Hill Bend ( it's not) - and is meant to be challenging. It was the Indy Circuit - so beginners stuff but in fact I thought it was great - but I still cannot get my head round Graham Hill Bend. Coming down the straight with a 25 year year old triple on full chat is a scream ....
3) The ride up there I thought the bike , being 25 years old would explode. It didn't.
4) The speed triple was really good fun on the track - torquey in the right places. And it handle okay - forks now need ti be dropped 28mm through the yokes to make it slight less barge like.
5) It was meant to be track day for bikes that don't normally go on the track - but there did seem to be a lot of more modern stuff - as long as some brat stuff, two stroke bikes, old Dukes and Moto Guzzis. And a fair few t309s.
6) Disappointingly few ginger beards, tweed jackets, and pipe smokers. No Quinoa, tofu or vegans. Cold Drip coffee was surprisingly absent. But Charlie Boorman was there on the electric Harley.
7) I think I might go again - even though, at 60, I found it hot and knackering. My 20 years old Hideouts are way too heavy.

25 year old track bike, pah, I don't go on track with a bike under 30 years old. Next MSV Classic bike day is Cadwell next Friday

8 kgs - so one stone.

Probably - they make seriously high quality leathers.

I believe they also now offer lighter non cow hide leathers. I did an interview special with Kate from Hideout for my Elevenses webcast back in May when we were locked down...

They are stunning well made. I am guessing if a meteor ever hits the earth, and I am wearing my Hideouts , I will come through it unscathed. Crashed a Cadwell in them - and hardly a mark on them. They may have damaged the track though ... :)

Forks will be coming off later this week - once I have adapted my ABBA stand - so get respung and valves by the boys at MCT. Decided it was just pointless putting new springs in , as price difference will be minimal ..

I want to replace the front disc bolts - they are tad nasty....
M8 hex head jobs.
Triumph want 5.50 GBP, which didn't seem bad - until you realise that is for each bolt.
Same size can be had it titanium from eBay ...

Would you ?

IIRC there some places you shouldn't use Ti bolts, something to do with them not having the same shear resistance as top end steel. Can't remember if disc bolts is one of them.

On the road it probably doesn't matter anyway.

I bet Dazzle will know.
