Ffc stuck in it's connector

Post by Demannu »

Looks like whatever glue they've used on the molex clamp has dropped onto the ribbon and its stuck fast.
Any ideas at a ND way of removal?

Any sort of solvent that might work, fine paintbrush and scalpel to ease it away?

Gentle heat might be worth a try.

Some denatured alcohol, cotton bud and some jiggling did the trick!
Most importantly display still worked when plugged into new board :)
