Re: XSR900GP
The crap one, or should I say the one that doesn't fit full width with the upper fairing. It's a single piece unit and I found it on an official Yamaha site.Potter wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 2:57 pmWhich version is on sale?mangocrazy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 12:33 pm Just seen the list price of the XSR900GP lower fairing/belly pan - £623. To my mind that should be fitted as OE.

Re: XSR900GP
Yes, I like the look of it as well, but want to see it in the flesh. Probably just catch the train to The NEC on the day. It's less than an hour from my place in Stafford.Potter wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 2:51 pm Blimey.
I'd try and do a deal to have that thrown in or discounted.
I'm also off the NEC to see this bike, just spoke to a couple of mates and it was EICMA or the NEC and the NEC is the least hassle.
I forgot to suggest we stay in the hotel next to the motorcycle museum and do that the evening before.
I'm looking forward to getting a sit on this GP version and unless the ergonomics really don't suit me then I think I'll end up buying one, it's the first bike I've been keen on for ages.

Re: XSR900GP
Just read the lower fairing on the GP bike is an official Yamaha accessory. That's taking the piss in my book.

Re: XSR900GP
You'd hate the MT then, about 2 inches higher. It's longer than the MT, uses the Tracer 9 swingarm. I'm thinking of test riding one (normal XSR)

Looks like they have carried over these colours to the 2024 XSR900. The blue is now no longer an option.

Re: XSR900GP
Knox have posted a walk-a-round video on their FriendFace.
1. I didn't notice it in the pics, but the shade of silver the frame is painted is so 80/90's Deltabox.
2. Above the yoke clip-ons, with quite a rise on them.

Well no, as I don't ride bikes these days. There's not a single bike I'd buy currently.
But if @Potter buys it, I'll ride it

Re: XSR900GP
When I had no intention of buying a bike I fancied loads of different bikes, now I've got the money to buy any bike I want, I'm a lot fussier, I seriously looked at the XSR as a bike to replace the GSXS, and as a bike there's nothing wrong with it, but it was just too ugly.weeksy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 8:24 pmWell no, as I don't ride bikes these days. Re: XSR900GP
I'm not even sure if I'm in the market for a new bike or not, but what I need is for a bike to not just tick all the boxes, but grab me and say 'fucking buy me, you cunt!'.
Funnily enough, nothing really does at the present.

Re: XSR900GP
That fairing lower/bellypan really should extend to the full length of the top fairing, the 'race' seat looks like a real afterthought and I've never been a fan of stubby cans, but the rest of it looks good. On the plus side this is probably a pre-production prototype, so if enough people bend Yamaha's ear they might finish it off properly before it goes into volume production.

Re: XSR900GP
If you watch that MotoBob MT09 video in the EICMA thread he goes into detail about this version.I think he said June delivery for the UK.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2023 3:04 pm That fairing lower/bellypan really should extend to the full length of the top fairing, the 'race' seat looks like a real afterthought and I've never been a fan of stubby cans, but the rest of it looks good. Re: XSR900GP
I'm definitely going to have a good crawl all over the XSR GP when it comes to the NEC, and quiz the sales staff about this 'n that. Paintwork looks proper snazzy.

That little Rayzr looks quite bargainacious.
