Re: What have you done today thread?
I have a lockable internal door that leads from my hallway to a small ante room and downstairs loo, with a lockable door from there into the garage. I keep the recycling boxes in there along with all my biking gear and helmet. I keep it locked, just for a bit of extra security.
Last night I managed to break a bit of the bloody key off. Couldn't get into it via the house, nor from the garage. Bugger. Kinda need my gear to get to work.
Luckily I have a mate who works in a key cutting place. I took the broken key to him and he sorted me a new key whilst I unexpectedly worked from home today.
Nice one, Little Lee.

Took the cat to the vet for his booster and health check.
A couple went in with their dog just in front of me which I thought unusual as they normally keep the waiting area empty.
The receptionist must have sussed something was up and she asked when my appointment was.
I was only a day early wasn’t I.
That’s what you get for a. Being retired and losing track of days and b. Checking the calendar on the phone rather than the iPad.

Well yes, but did Tibbles get checked and boosted or are they making you both come back tomorrow?Scotsrich wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 4:35 pm Took the cat to the vet for his booster and health check.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Went to breakfast in 'Spoons, then went to do a bit of shopping for winter clothes, bought enough to make our own Schoffel catalogue.
Discussed having a pair of William Powell shotguns made to measure, and then on the way home called at a model shop and bought a Tamiya Hornet, which I'm going to build slowly over a few days and try to recreate the nostalgia of when I did the first one in 1985.

Just paid 508€ to have this fitted to the mighty Duster.
Now we're independent and fully mobile.

Re: What have you done today thread?
How does a towbar make you independent and fully mobile? I was expecting a recovery winch.

Closed the M1 again.
Lorry fire which has damaged the road surface plus lost a whole 500ltrs of diesel across lanes 1&2. Clean up underway, resurfacing planned for about 8pm.
Avoid the M1 in Northamptonshire, this will go on until the early hours.

I shot a 20b W Powell a while ago and it fitted perfectly and I hit everything I pointed it at.

Means I can carry the bike in the trailer to trackdays. Otherwise Pen needs to come in car.
And can go to Euro tracks and carry all the gear.

Re: What have you done today thread?
While you're out you need to get it added to the ITV paperwork that I can't remember the name of. Was it fitted by a Dacia dealer?

Re: What have you done today thread?
Yeah. All official. They said they'd do the paperwork.
I didn't check as Pen picked it up.
I was on bike outside.
